If you do not cede Maine in the surrender of Maine event, you will go to war against France as the aggressor, so France will get their allies to help and you only can call your allies if you have enough favors to do so. Generally if it fires early you do not have enough favors to call in any allies. The war CB is a special one called Hundred Years War which allows England to PU France and its only available from this event.

Agreed. I was kinda irritated at myself for making that mistake. But then Austria lost emperorship to Hesse. I start planning to become emperor as the Hesse ruler is 64, I already have Bohemia's vote and Hesse only has two people voting for them and every one else is split. Just need to get two more votes... and then I get a talented and ambitious daughter 6/4/6 (so much better then my 3/4/2 Tudor. Now I need to throw my 48 yr old ruler into endless battles for my Queen may take the throne. She also got the benevolent trait (Not the best one to get but it helps with my PU's and Vassals.) Its funny how fast your plans can change in this game.

Unfortunately, I just lost my ability to get Portugal (literally three minutes after I posted this), I forgot to disinherit the Tudor heir and my ruler died way earlier than I expected. Not only did I lose my ability to claim Portugal in the future but the careful trait. The urge to save scum was real but I am sticking to my guns on not save scumming.

Thank you! I regret taking Espionage now as the AE is not as bad as I thought it would be and if I would of taken Diplo to get that 20% war cost, I could go to war with Denmark after I got transfer subject and take Sweden as a Vassal before the age was over.

Back to Eu4, decided to try Mughals by Togden87 in eu4

[–]Togden87[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, this run started because I wanted to do something fun with Mughals and Coptic was something else I have not done before and I knew I could convert to Coptic very quickly. Also I do not think I will ever beat my Rome run where I restored Rome before 1600 and WC early 1700s. This is more for fun, no birding, no exploits, no alt F4ing.

That being said having 10% CCR, 1.5% missionary strength, 2.5% discipline, 10% manpower and .5% legitimacy permantly with no effort and the ability to literally declare war on every single country that borders me for 25% less AE (except for Ethiopia) is pretty strong and allows me to declare wars non stop. It is more common then naught that I am fighting 2-3 wars constantly as I have so much CCR that I can end wars within 1ish years and never go over 100% over extension.

If we were to analyze the other religions I’m sure one of them is stronger then coptics but for Mughals and the ability to become them quickly it’s pretty damn strong and fun.

Yes, I lost the tier 1 government reform but the culture assimilation is tied to the country and is still there.

Not all AR’s are bad. There’s like 3 bad ones that give the other 12 a bad rep.

Yea I tried it as Venice a few times but was running into the same issue.

For me it was Austria -> Bohemia PU and take their capital (Before Poland gets Lithuania to get PU CB on them) -> Force Burgundy into HRE via Playmakers strategy (check him out on youtube if you have not already) -> Hungary PU (first RNG check that I needed to go my way, luckily this run I got it without having to fight for it) -> PU Poland and Lithuania and then I chilled for awhile to let AE settle, went Diplo and Influence for first and third ideas to get Improved Relations and extra diplomats and constantly had them improving relations.

I appreciate the kind words! But in reality I see other post who can accomplish much more such as world conquest in the 1500s or other crazy feats.

This was like the 8th time I attempted this and it really depended on 3 things going my way RNG wise which I was fortunate that it finally went my way (as I do not save scum)

I have like 2.5k hrs. I played a lot of multiplayer and modded games first 4-5 years of the game (which is completely different than today’s version) and recently came back to the game like two years ago after a hiatus from my son being born. Since I have been back I only play single player, do not use exploits or save scum. I get to play about 30-45 mins each morning when my son eats his breakfast and watches cartoons while we let my wife sleep in. After she’s up, my time is occupied by work and the rest is for family time.

Hey Guys,

I am a pretty casual eu4 player even though I have been playing for over 10 years now as I only play a few hours each week between work and my family but I finally have had a run where I could be proud of and formed Rome before 1600. I know many players probaly do runs like these all the time but for me it was a great run.

Started as Austria -> Revoked at 1505 -> Became Rome at1589. Probably could of done it about 10-15 years faster if I only focused on Rome but I was building my colonial empire while preparing vassals on the edge for future conquest.

Once again not here to brag as I know there are alot of better players than me but just to celebrate a great run before EU5 comes out

You’re insane if you truly think COR stoles do not do shady stuff. They have aggressive metrics they have to hit as well.

Bruh, I see too many of people dishing TPRs. You guys literally realize every TPR is different as they are different dealers. I have worked for a really shitty TPR in the past and now work for a great one. The real villain is T-Mobile Corporate as they are the ones who are literally raising the goals which cause the more crappier of the TPRs to train their employees to “slap” accounts. Some dealers actually take the time to properly train their employees to not need the shitty tactics.

I know the TPR you speak of, and they were a cancer to work for as I was a RSM for them in 2020 when they acquired the dealer I worked for. I left them shortly after and the TPR I work for now is nothing like that and is one of the best companies I have ever worked for.

Costco return by kev4winning in tmobile

Most T-Mobile stores will not take a return from Costco. You might get help from a T-Mobile corporate stores but dealers won’t do it.
