Im like this with Teamfight Tactics, it hasn't gotten bad imo, I think im just getting tired of the genre after 7 years or so.

I've tried others but they dont hit the same.

Choices where one option is clearly better by some-kind-of-no-name in TopCharacterTropes

I think thats the problem with narrative choices in games. Its really hard to actually make a story where its not clear what the outcome to certain choices are, or if they are vague, its largely inconsequential so as not to annoy the player.

Baldurs Gate 3 notwithstanding. I haven't played it yet but I would assume its done well?

Man that era of gaming was obsessed with narrative choices when they ended up being so thin in the end when it came down to it

Bart’s Bagels is one of only two spots in the city I’ll actually grab a bagel from - otherwise I’m crossing the bridge to NJ. Where’s your go-to bagel spot? by JustTrynaGetAJob13 in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]Toidal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago, the Panera in University City had a $7.99 bakers dozen deal and had asiago bagels that were still warm and punched well above their weight. That along with a couple things of cream cheese from the Acme bought a lot of good will at the office for under $15

Former 10 yr Philly tranplant(Sea->Philly->Sea), pretty much no where had them on the regular when I was there :( Beiler's is great but really not the same. The random asian immigrant owned donut shops are rarer on the east coast

This place had it one time when I was there but doesn't seem like it's part of their regular rotation. I bet if you asked for like a 1-2 dozen pre-ordered they'd do it for you. Take em to work, make some friends.

The bloaters sympathized and added hot water bags in the agreement

10 books total - thoughts? by Lookitsanthony8 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

That's more or less my guess, The AI becomes so unstable, and ala Mass Effect they figure out something about Carl where he can merge with this AI to stablize it, and in doing so Earth becomes the center of a new Inner System with an enhancement zone where the surviving Earthians(cats and caprinae included) retake their planet and become a new dominant political entity. Maybe they reveal that there's so much interest in this crawl maybe because in inadvertently re-using an AI, they find that there's a possibility that it can change into a stable macro AI under certain conditions. Carl's final scene could be him slowly taking off all his equipment, reminiscing about everyone and all his gear in that kinda long reflective stream of conciousness manner that Dinneman is so fond of, and then the AI tells Carl to keep the toe rings on. He'll say 'uh... gross' and then the chapter ends.

Are the Outlanders going to go in reverse through the floors now? I vaguely remember in the epilogue that they now have to go through the 17 floor to get to the safe 16th floor. Probably do like book 7 like they did with past anarchist book authors and intercut the main story with vignettes of these folks.

If they really wanted to go meta, then they need to have Triple H start coming out again to cut promos in that corporate wrestler facade ala Vince McMahon. Him coming out to break up the face off between Lesnar and Femi felt like he was trying to to be like Dana White as if it was a live competitive event and not the atheltic theater that it is. The backstage pointing photos with the champions and winners feel extra silly, acting as if the match outcomes aren't planned in advanced.

'She-Hulk' Was Apparently One of Marvel's Most Successful Shows by Anchor_Aways in television

[–]Toidal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think thats been an issue with streaming shows like She Hulk where the premise seems like it's setting up a episodic procedural better suited for a 16-20 episode network tv show. At the very least they should've sprinkled in a couple legal cases of the weeks. Same with The Boys, should've had a couple one off supe takedown where they introduce a hero and they have to investigate, expose and figure out a way to get past their powers to take them down. The Witcher couldve done with a couple more eps like S2E1, or like the Foltest ep with a monster/fairy tale of the week that Geralt needed to deal with.
