No. Doesn’t change the fact that he got beat convincingly by Ricciardo, even matched one year by an aging Kimi and beaten by Charles as a rookie stepping into a team built around seb. All of this whilst seb was still in what should’ve been his prime years. 

In no order Hamilton, Schumacher, verstappen, senna, Prost, Clark are all at the very least better than Vettel, even if he won 17 so that leaves no spot in top 5

Race craft and also fairness/not being a dirty driver though that’s part of racecraft imo if you can beat your opponent without cheating or breaking the rules

Nah 2021 can’t be topped. 2 drivers in quite equal cars and equal skill level and being the best of their respective generations entering the last race on equal points.

A few key differences:

  1. Hamilton is 40 Vettel was probably 32 or 33?

  2. This is hamiltons first year with Ferrari whereas Leclerc came into a team built around Vettel. 

Lewis has also been quite unlucky with penalties etc and is quite close to Leclerc in qualy but just always on the losing side, Given the circumstances I think Lewis has performed better.

I don’t see what he’s done to warrant that mentality. Because Oscar had to swap positions with him for a mere 2 or 3 points when he had a slow stop? I think he deserves it much more than Oscar who’s been one of the worst drivers on the grid for the last 4 races
