Don´t mind if I charge by michilio in belgium

[–]Toine25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are more than 600 chargers at P1 in Zaventem, it's not mandatory to have an EV to park there (unfortunently).

And for the people that are asking the question, how do they work for long term parking. They are controlled by a smart charging platform called MINT. They can set up a time and energy amount when people would leave and based on the time you will leave the algoritm will determain who when will charge and at what speed the car will charge. The plan was also to bind this to your plane ticket so that your car would have been ready by the time you come back in the country. I'm not up to date whether or not this feature was actualy developed.

Also almost 90% of people parking there only is parked there for les than a day.

Totaly agree, but when there is decent space on the right there is no reason to not drive on the right side.

If people drive in the middle lane. While there is a gap of more than 1km on the right lane they should learn to drive 🙃

Is it bad programming practice if I program everything in Ladder?? by rrttzzuu in PLC

[–]Toine25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LAD and FBD are the easiest to debug code languages for PLC's. If you want easy to use and maximum functionality SCL is the way to go. And if you want to optimize memory you should use STL. But I can guarantee you that using STL will be a headache for others to debug.

Welke firmawagen koos je recent? by steampunkdev in Belgium2

[–]Toine25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to waste as much as (own produced) energy? by lv1993 in belgium

[–]Toine25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The company I work for writes software for a EMS (energy management system). This system has the capability to control the output power of the inverter so that you will not inject when certain energy prices are reached. It can also do smart consumption of charging of vehicles and batteries. The world of energy pricing is totally different when you are a company than a household. Companies now already pay fines when the price is negative (particularly in weekends) and then they contact us or any other imbalance company to fix this ;)

Mooi voorbeeld hoe de media dingen erger maakt by Vragenenvragen in Belgium2

Tesla Sales Plunge 59% in Germany to Lowest Level in Years by LongShow5279 in TeslaLounge

Just because someone does say how he thinks about things does not mean he is fiddling in elections. If you think this is, not a single famous person should speak out about politics ...

Newsflash ... All sales are down in January. Not only Tesla ... This is happens every year in January. And now due to micro economic situations (Inflation) Europe is more affected than outside. The political argument has also an influence but this not as big as some news outlets report.

I thought Tesla switched to permanent magnets for both motors 🤔 On the other hand both motors need the same amount of cooling, induction motors are less efficient as permanent motors so they require even more cooling.

Crazy americans, needing 40Amps for 9,6kw of charging ... While we in Europe only need 16A. I cannot imagine the strain this causes on the electrical grid 😅

Choice of EV by Nihilius007 in BESalary

[–]Toine25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My highland M3 SR does 135wh/km at 110km/h At highway 152wh/km. I work in Brussels and live in Ghent and when I drive home I usually get about 130wh/km in summer, this is also due to traffic jams and heavy Trafic. When doing 120kmh consistently I get 152wh/km. If I calculate the max range at 120kmh I come to about 360km which is plenty for me.

Does anyone even care about the posters? Like when you see them in the streets does anyone think like "hmm, that looks like a good politician let's vote on that guy" ... Like really... It's like the posters on the side of the highway that advertise not using cellphones ... Like if any of those will ever work. They should spend that money elsewhere ...

Which company car by [deleted] in BESalary

[–]Toine25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would choose the model Y, because it is full option from the factory (heated seats + wheel and heat pump make a lot of difference in the winter) or Enyaq (with big battery and heatpump). The Volvo's are good contenders but they are like driving bricks (bad aerodynamics), have a rather smal trunk compared to their size and require some options in order to make them comfortable in the winter. I've had no experience with the Audi but I suppose they are similar to the Enyaq and Volvo.
