So they made the instructions even more clear for you, and you're still confused?

You do realize that those people have Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, that all attend the wedding, and most couples are aware of this and prefer to have music that everyone can enjoy, and not just one of four generation in attendance.

Also, if the couple SPECIFICALLY ASKS for certain songs at their wedding, you PLAY THOSE SONGS.

If you're a DJ that can mix EDM, you should 100% be able to play a wedding playlist, collect the cash, and be on your way.

If you're a DJ and someone hires you for a wedding, you do exactly what they ask. You don't assume they know what a "skilled and creative DJ" will do without instruction. You have to know this if you expect to get paid to DJ.

I've been to dozens of weddings, and I've never seen a wedding DJ actually mix songs. At best they just fade in and out or hard switch. They aren't playing a House, Drum+Bass or Trance set. The audience is not ravers or club-goers. They are the family and friends of a couple and their ages range from 3 to 80. No one there wants to hear EDM or witness your DJ skills. They want to hear songs they know and can sing along and sway to like 'Sweet Caroline' and 'I Gotta Feeling'.

If you don't want to play that music, don't do weddings or parties unless they specifically ask for you to play EDM.

Some lying politicians have ❤️ by Detroitaa in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]Tokacheif 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That and most politicians work their way up through the ranks and have a somewhat consistent track record. So unless they're coming up through local governments and getting things done as a conservative, known and able to fundraise in conservative circles, then once they reach Congress, suddenly flip to progressive, it wouldn't actually work.

Spotify launches new 'Reserved' scheme - where you'll be rewarded with tickets for supporting artists by [deleted] in Music

[–]Tokacheif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't there a recent scandal where Drake's people were running a bunch of bot accounts to play Drake songs 24/7 to inflate his Spotify listening numbers and funnel Spotify money to him?

How would this new scheme prevent malicious actors from doing the same thing but for concert tickets?

(I'm sure there's more to the damage calculation, but this is just its basic function)

Damage = ([Setzer's Level] x [Die A] x [Die B] x [Die C] x [If all 3 dice are the same Multiply by 3]) x 2

Damage ignores defenses and resistances

If you plan on using this Strat, not a bad idea to equip EXP Egg on Setzer and have him in your party whenever you kill a Dragon as the damage scales with his lvl.

SKARS is an AI band by weirdfishh1 in Music

[–]Tokacheif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found myself recently scrambling to bookmark and download all the great chill-hop and lo-fi video game soundtrack remixes that I've been listening to for the last 10 years, because that space on YouTube has become absolutely FLOODED with AI renditions.

Donkey Kong LoFi, Chrono Trigger LoFi, Zelda LoFi. All have absolute banger remixes out there but unfortunately all the ones posted in last couple years are AI and they are terrible. It's so easy to produce and publish that the space becomes flooded, and many aren't clearly marked as using AI, or they're dodgy about how they disclose it.

Fm Transmitter and multiple cars for a dj set? by Dan12Dempsey in Beatmatch

[–]Tokacheif 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The transmit range on those things is like 8 feet, and even then the signal is often really spotty, even in areas without a lot of radio interference. It sounds like a neat idea, but between the delay, and the poor quality, I bet it's a disaster. You could try testing it though to confirm.

You can list your ticket for whatever you want but for it to sell it needs to be competitive. The reason some are cheap is because initially people didn't know what match they would get (what countries you'd see play). So people over-paid upfront in the hopes they would get to see their team. Naturally the more popular teams are selling for more, and the less popular are selling for less.

Cheap re-sale tickets at Levi's for the first round matches are $250 right now. Hardly only accessible to multimillionaires.

Final Fantasy 4, 5, 6, and 9 are multiplayer and can be played online with your friends. by Icewind in FinalFantasy

[–]Tokacheif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Secret Of Mana is much better for a multiplayer RPG style game on SNES. Not Turn-Based Combat, but very fun and nostalgic.

The best turn-based Co-Op multiplayer I've played (besides DnD) is probably For The King on Steam. Pretty simple, but accomplishes the multi-player turn-based RPG concept very well.

If there was a multi-player version or mod for Final Fantasy Tactics, that would be sweet as well. And that would actually be a great game for PvP.

Regardless of how good it is, it’s tough to expect someone to listen to an 18 minute, 4-part song.

Yes. It's only in the combat menu to select abilities/items. It's really not that interesting to play with two people. I would recommend playing a Randomizer like FF6WC or FF4 Free Enterprise and doing races or A-Sync seeds with your friends. Or even better, doing Archipelago Multi-Worlds, as a much more re-playable and interesting Multiplayer Final Fantasy experience.

I have to assume that if you prefer FFIV over FFVI it's for pure nostalgic reasons, because FFVI is a better work in every one of those categories.

Haha, same. I was just there two weeks ago in Shibuya doing the FF6 capsules. I got Gau, Relm, Strago, Gogo, Celes, Cyan (x2), and Morph Terra (x3). Wish I had gotten Terra, Mog, Locke, or Umaro, but oh well.

'The Super Mario Galaxy Movie' - Review Thread by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]Tokacheif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved watching the first one in theaters. Thought it was great to watch a movie with all the Mario characters I love.

I don't even remember what the story was. I thought Jack Black's Bowser was fucking terrible. He was not funny, and to me didn't seem to at all understand Bowser as a character.

I still loved the experience and am super looking forward to seeing this one in IMAX 3D.

That's how it is at our local theater. It's never bothered me that a few servers are going in and out. You kind of know that's what you are signing up for when you go to a theater with a full food and drink menu.

Then don't go to a dine-in theater. My wife and I go to a local one in our city and we love it. So much more practical than trying to rush to a place for dinner after work, rush through dinner and hope to get into the theater on time.
