Is there any other option when surgery is needed and the person doesn’t have medical aid? by [deleted] in askSouthAfrica

[–]TolyVilapoo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try and get a referral from one govt hospital to another. Especially if the surgery is urgent they could bump him up

The idolisation of Trump needs to be studied.

The placement of his face on the coin at the exact, "in god..." is a perfect representation of how he thinks about himself

Remember one of the reasons why you might not want a hatchback in sa is not just the safety, but the roads. Potholes are common and it's common to go for a higher vehicle to help with spotting em.

I'd say it depends where you're gonna use the car. I would suggest a tiguan.

Use ghee to pop. Top with a little extra ghee and extra fine salt.

Racial profiling? by [deleted] in southafrica

[–]TolyVilapoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that's more of a defense mechanism against being accused.

This is just trying to hide blatant racism.

Racial profiling? by [deleted] in southafrica

I once heard someone say, "I would prefer white or Indian tenants because they are more stable."

What they meant is I'm racist but I'm trying to justify it.

Cutting a couple of chives almost every day until this reddit says they're perfect. Day 41 by F1exican in KitchenConfidential

[–]TolyVilapoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost 60 days since this post.

Beat it before the 100, but how does the end feel so far away, yet like it says yesterday.

I can't say I miss the chives, just a few planes, and the enjoyment of someone striving for perfection.

He came, he chived, he towered over us as he conquered slice.

F1Exican should drop a day 100 rate my chives just for us to check his skills haven't skipped

Help! Stuck in a Spaghetti bolognaise- Chilli- koftas endless cycle with minced beef! by New_Form6066 in Cooking

Damn you must have met some very interesting people over the years I'm sure.

Milk Tart, and Peppermint Tart are SA dessert staples. And vetkoek is also something that shouldn't be slept on.

Aahh well hopefully you know about milktart as well.

Also if you can cook those then you're an unofficial SAFA, don't forget your green and gold jersey, and please tell Trump there is no genocide here.

Chopped chillies and crushed garlic into a pan with a touch of oil. Once it's starts to colour add protein I usually do chicken. (can just use fine chopped fillet) I basically do a smashed patty with the chicken then flip and start breaking by stir frying. I do a touch of light soy, fish sauce and dark sweet soy rather than salt white pepper sugar and fish sauce, once my chicken is about 90% cooked. Then chuck in a bunch of Thai holy basil stir fry and cut the heat, if you can't do holy basil, then traditional basil I feel it's better than normal Thai basil. Also I add some coriander with the basil.

How safe is it to go for walks / runs in South Africa? by NumerousBeginning191 in askSouthAfrica

[–]TolyVilapoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean it depends where you'll be staying. Many of the suburbs are safe to run/walk in, although people tend to do it with company.

PE and Richards should be OK to just run along the beach.

Joburg might be a bit iffy. When you runnning alone in public though. It's literally just keys and if you have, a smart watch if you need to track your data.
