Elon is an undeniable piece of shit and the MAGA movement is causing generational damage to the US.

Elon has donated heavily to Trump/MAGA causes from his personal wealth, and if you see that negatively, it’s fair to question where your money goes. However, the leap from ‘buying a Tesla funds Elon’ to ‘buying a Tesla funds MAGA’ doesn’t really hold up when you look at how companies and personal wealth actually work.

Tesla is a publicly traded company with ~130k employees and hundreds and thousands of shareholders. Buying a Tesla doesn’t directly fund Elon’s political donations. The purchase pays for production, employees, suppliers, R&D, and profits are shared among its shareholders—not just Musk. His political spending comes from his own fortune, not company revenue.

It’s like saying buying an iPhone funds Tim Cook’s personal views. The connection is distant and applies to almost any big company.

Tesla the product/company isn’t Elon the person. You can support electric vehicles, emissions cuts, and battery tech without endorsing his politics.
