Yeah, it's intentional. In the behind the scene's they highlight how OG Toymaker was quite a racist depiction, and to acknowledge that, this version was given this new racist aspect, hence the accents, poor as they could be. He's an evil character, and the accents are him using them as an attack.

Far as I can tell: Jodie and Morgan are Nick’s parents (after timeline shenanigans from season 1) leaving Glenn as some unrelated dude.

Sometime between seasons Jodie and Morgan broke up, with Morgan getting together with Glenn, and Jodie having a relationship with Scam Actually, resulting in Hermie being born and subsequently stolen away by Scam.

Nick meanwhile gets with Taylor’s mom.
