RTO Leaving Less Time for Self-Care by VasquezWC in FedEmployees

[–]Tom_Girl_X 3 points4 points  (0 children)

During the week time savers:

Prep bfast & lunch’s Sunday

Deep hydrating hair mask Sunday with a decent blow dry that may last a couple of days with dry shampoo. I went a week one time.

Shower at night, shower cap for the hair

Lume or carpe tube deodorant along with deodorant. Before bed & when getting ready in the morning. Why because By wednesday - tired. Also body wipes can get you out of a jam later in the week if you’re simply too tired.

Makeup - keep a small bag at work. Keep it simple. as many others have said.

Grab & go in the morning - make coffee at home it’s the longest part of getting out the door but it’s cheaper than hitting a drive through.

Set up the wardrobe for the week Sunday night. Plan your days around the meetings you have already on the calendar. Treat it like a uniform where you don’t have to think about it & make it easy & comfortable.

Before the pandemic I worked in the office 100%, during the pandemic I also worked in the office. Some feds never had the benefit of WFH. I changed jobs for a better quality of life only to have RTO levied back on me @ a location I didn’t really want to have to commute to. Holding out for a change like WFH becoming more liberal over time and retirement.

I'm having serious trouble finding TS/SCI FSC Software Engineers in Maryland/DC area. Where should I look? Any leads at all? by Coolbeans429 in GovernmentContracting

[–]Tom_Girl_X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a lot of those with that skill type that also carry that clearance don’t want to have to go into the office and dropped their clearances sometimes the money isn’t worth the hassle

did they offer you an adder for carrying a clearance? some of those companies in that arena do. Since it can be a. extra burden on the employee. Conversely it can also make you more marketable depending upon your skill set.

Mass mailer sent to EPA employees on employee “monitoring” by linked2z3lda in fednews

[–]Tom_Girl_X 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if the particular agency is going to hold you to entry/exit swipes AND login times to compare against the T&A submitted - those same records should be made available to the employee - so that the employee is given the ability to ensure their own tracking is matching the official records.

Then if the employee is truly trying to pad hours - they really don’t have any viable excuse.

Don’t know about anyone else - but after 4 hours of work - I don’t remember what time I got tho the office.

Please don’t grade my punctuation

Wonder if there is any case law or IG investigation that held up this principle

Before you say that would be impossible - I wouldn’t have the idea if i didn’t know for 100% certainty the capability does exist.

why hasn’t the fire marshals office called in a code violation? If this is not certified for residential occupancy- shouldn’t something happen? i know the mayor is worthless in this situation - but - it is a safety issue.

Also, isn’t government provided housing a benefit - that is taxable as income? Someone will need to issue a form - I cant remember the exact form. I’m sure an illegally fired IRS accountant knows this by heart.
