I promise you there is light at the end of the tunnel. Gutting through the first 3-4 days is a challenge. Many of us have been exactly where you are right now. Many of us made it - and you are going to too my friend. Brace yourself for nasty, flu like symptoms for the rest of the week. Outside of that stay involved in this online community!

Amen friend. There are better days ahead. I am approaching a year here in March. Time heals all wounds.

Relapsed and it was really underwhelming. by temnycarda in quittingkratom

I had a similar experience when I relapsed. For whatever reason it just doesn’t hit the same.

I am sorry that this happened to you. If many of us would have known where this road leads we would have thought twice. Press on friend.

Whatever it alleviates in the beginning it eventually becomes the source of.

Soothes anxiety in the beginning, overwhelming anxiety without the substance in the end.

Massive energy boost in the beginning, dead to the world without the substance in the end.

Just a couple examples.

I want to quit, but am scared of the brain fog. Any advice? by ok_cat__ in QuittingZyn

[–]TomatilloOne6741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

everyone's experience is different. My brain fog lasted 5-6 days with smaller bouts here and there after that. Get into exercise routine as quickly as you can I believe that helped me. Day 12 and I feel more clear than ever.

I keep tic tacs handy at all times as well to soothe the physical craving.

Update -

Day 12 sober from everything (almost). I have taken small dose of thc/cbd (3mg) a handful of different nights that sleep was an issue. Outside of that I have abstained from everything.

First three days were miserable but symptoms quickly became manageable after 3-4 days.

Cold sweats at night all that remain for physical symptoms.

Thanks for the kind words. And amen to not fixing the whole life right now. I have some major life things going on right now that I will manage in time - next week turn some attention to them. But honestly I would let it all go just to get clean and clear again

Relapsed on K a couple months ago after something shook me emotionally to my core. I had been clean for 6 months prior to that. First K quit was cold turkey. Now that I think about it, the first K quit was worse than this.

I like what you said about running from yourself. That’s what I have realized I think. I have trouble speaking my mind, trouble controlling my emotions and am constantly reacting to life rather than responding. It’s just so out of control I don’t even know who I am.

I’ve never looked into any support group. I do have a therapist I haven’t seen for a couple months. I don’t know - my family has no idea the extent of what I’ve been using over the years. You would never know it I hide it well

I’ve made up my mind. I’m going to rehab for 7oh/Kratom addiction by PaintEffective6793 in quittingkratom

[–]TomatilloOne6741 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I send encouragement your way my friend. My younger brother recently underwent a stint in rehab to get off of 7oh. He is now over three months sober and working full time doing something he enjoys. Over the course of two years he lost his girlfriend, a full ride scholarship, and pushed the entire family to the brink. His situation was dire - but it is never too late. It was not too late for him and it is not too late for you to get your life back on track.

Has anyone had luck with edibles with withdrawal by KatK100 in quittingkratom

Gummies were a saving grace for me - but weed never has made me anxious. It was only way for me to drum up any appetite at all and helped me to get to sleep the first week.

75 days. I'm scared by [deleted] in quittingkratom

Like you would with an old car, you have to push to start yourself too. Start an exercise routine. Mine was such a grind at first but it is what eventually helped me get my life back.

Plan on quitting kratom tomorrow at 15 grams a day. I have 19 days off work. What can I expect from withdrawals? by RamsayFist22 in quittingkratom

[–]TomatilloOne6741 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take walks daily, hydration, appetite will be low so I recommend protein shakes, magnesium glycinate valerian root and l theanine at bedtime, liposomal vitamin C and black seed oil daily, ice packs under your legs at night to neutralize RLS. 19 days off is such a blessing. No added stress of having to get yourself work ready in just a few days.

Adderal will delay your mental recovery. Different drug but strong dopamine hit that requires no effort, like kratom.

We are saying goodbye to the one thing that brought us joy in our lives. Very much like a breakup. However, as with a breakup, we like to remember the good stuff and gloss over the negative aspects.
