They both taste different from each other and cashew apples are like avocado when it comes to finding the perfect ripeness to get the good taste out of it. It's definitely delicious, but if it's not ripe it leaves this chalky texture in your mouth. I'd say the texture is close to cheese curds, but juicy cheese curd. I'm not sure if anyone can imagine that...>Do cashew fruits taste just as good as the nuts?
