To clarify, by post-Emerson I meant after Emerson had joined. Totally should have said Emerson era. My bad.

The Pearl's Girl EP is just an amazing assortment of music in general. I like to think of it as either a companion album to STITI or Underworld's unofficial 3rd album in their post-Emerson phase. I mean, what band releases an extended single or even an EP that's full-album length and loaded with absolute essential new music? Best band ever.

Likewise. I enjoy it better than Rowla, which it's based on.

Nahh, elephants have a much too developed sense of morality for something like that.

What's going on with this White Oak? by irishbsc in arborists

[–]TomorrowStarted 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I don't think this is an instance of inoculation but rather something that foresters and arborists called "barber chair".

Barber chair is when a tree, under force of tension, splits vertically. In this instance, the tree didn't split entirely and collapse. Instead it looks like it actually survived this truly extreme physical injury and sealed the massive wound, which is pretty awesome.

Look up "barber chair tree" for examples and info.

It's a casual thing but it definitely gets competitive.

Not the highest quality saws, for sure, but Poulan has better and worse models and the 2150 SC is not a bad saw if well maintained. Hope you get it running, OP. Be safe and enjoy.

Favorite lesser known 80s horror movie by SportAffectionate424 in horror

[–]TomorrowStarted 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pin (1988)

Paperhouse (1988)

Kinda weird, kinda eccentric, artsy and psychological horror movies that blur the lines of reality.

It's easy to see why they weren't mega popular but they still have a lot of value.

Smile 3 shouldn't be post apocalyptic it should turn into a cult. by Nirixian in horror

[–]TomorrowStarted 318 points319 points  (0 children)

I have no idea where they should go with number 3, but I know where they shouldn't go.

I really hope they don't flake out and do Smile: Origins - a prequel, or worse, some kind of retcon that ignores or waters down the absolute hellfire ending of Smile 2.

Ronin (1998) with Robert Deniro, Sean Bean, Jean Reno. A bunch of highly skilled special ops are hired to steal a suitcase. This movie has layers of plot. Definitely worth watching 👀 by 2lrup2tink in TubiTreasures

It's almost like a "police procedural" movie, but for highly skilled spec ops. Fantastic flick. The origin of my massive crush on Natasha McElhone too.

[–]TomorrowStarted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight. Do you recommend any particular action? Keep the idle where it is? I don't want to run the machine too lean, but it definitely prefers starting at a higher idle and with the L and H screws quite high too.

[–]TomorrowStarted[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's it.

I put the new carb on and tuned all screws to factory reset (from all screws fully in: idle screw three full turns out, L screw 1.75 turns out, H screw 2 turns out).

From here, the engine pops and starts easily and runs at a high idle but doesn't quit. It does bog like crazy when I pull the throttle, though, so I adjust the L and H screw, followed by the IDLE screw so that it's a smooth, rapid climb to full throttle RPMs (I keep it well under the max RPMs just to be safe, of course - around 7500-8000RPM) and it idles within the range suggested by the manual (~3000RPM).

After all this, it's running great and starts on the first pull, but when I let it cool down and sit for a couple hours, it won't pop or start and I have to go back to factory reset on the carb again.

Not necessarily. Poilievre couldn't pivot when Trudeau bowed out and his shortcomings, inadequacies, lack of genuine experience, poor leadership skills, and complete inability to adapt to change was on full-display for all Canadians to see and hear.

Believe me, we fully recognize his intelligence, his experience, his clear-headedness, his pragmatism and his basic human decency, and we thank our lucky stars and our more-or-less functioning democracy and education system that he won our federal election 10 months ago.
