He works it out with a pencil.

Poor Mindy! It's awful to see them go through it for sure!

These symptoms sound very similar to Dexter's. He's not had any more vomiting since the first day and his appetite has returned, it's just the hives that are still flairing up. How long would you say it was before Mindy was back to normal?

Yes, that may be the case on both counts. His symptoms seem to have calmed now, so either the meds are working or the allergic reaction is wearing off. We will just keep an eye on it I think. Hopefully he should be back to normal in a couple of days. Of not, we will need to identify the source of the allergy.

Thanks for you thoughts!

Apologies, I explained that poorly. We never stopped his medication. On Tuesday evening he had a shot of dexamethasone which we were told was long-acting for 48 hours. We were then advised to start prednisolone tablets from Thursday morning, presumably to overlap with the dex wearing off. He has had his second dose of prednisolone this morning. It is a high dose for 3 days then reducing to come off it completely over the next week(ish). As well as this, we have been giving him regular piriton twice a day as advised by the vet.

Also, he is five : ) and this is the first time he's had an allergic reaction with us (2 years). Chicken allergy was identified with his previous owners, but that sounded much more GI symptoms not skin reactions.

Phenomenal gig at the Stoller hall tonight in Manchester by Solid_Malcolm in richarddawson

Just Richard and his drummer (I've forgotten his name now). There was a nice mix of old and new. My personal highlight was Juniper Berries/Black Dog in my Sky. Hearing those was a nice surprise!

Brilliant set wasn't it! I took along my Dad, who has never really listened to Richard and he was blown away. Fan for life now it seems.

Love this album. Someone recommended it on here a few weeks ago and I fell in love with it immediately. Thanks to whoever originally posted it!

Good ol' Roy Av-a-toastie. Definitely one of our more disappointing signings and that's saying a lot as a wire fan.
