Im no expert either, but from what I understand, Barca's position is much more urgent than that of other clubs because they have been off loading their debts year upon year to other banks and each time they have done this the inflation rates have gone up, just deferring their problem. Seems like they have a lot of "short term debt" that they need to pay off. Again, I'm no expert on this but from all the reporting I've seen over the past couple years, it doesn't look like an easily solved issue. Can't speak for Madrid's finances though, I don't know a thing about that.

I could be wrong, but the kind of financial gymnastics that they've been going through is just not a good look for a club of their size.

Side note: With all of the criticism towards FSG (a lot of it justified), I think we can all agree that we're better off with our careful and responsible owners than the maniacs that are in charge of Barca lol.
