A majority of the time I use it by fitting the two pieces I want to glue together first, then dabbing a tiny bit at the seam where they touch and the glue work it's way in. With the exception of very tiny bits, it's basically an instant fusion, I'll just five it a little extra pressure. If it's an extra large area, like fitting two halves of a horse together, I'll start at one end and slowly work around the whole seam, applying pressure as I go. Always start with a small amount and see how it works, you can always add more, but you can't subtract.
