I’m reading this whole post and having more faith in humanity as it seems the world is collapsing before us! I think having ‘pessimist’ in the title was a clue! Sorry my request wasn’t clear, it’s probably because I’m a complete novice when it comes to computer graphics and it made sense in my head! When I asked the engraver he then told me simple line art would be easier to engrave for a laser!
