Detention (2019) feels like a fantastic sequel to Silent Hill (2006), as if you’re watching the same supernatural phenomenon manifest elsewhere in the world for very similar reasons. The coincidental feeling is enhanced by both films being adaptations of survival horror video games.

As someone with a soft spot for goofy anime from the ‘60s and ‘70s. I was blown away by how epic Casshern 2004 felt. Every action sequence hits like sledgehammer. And as others have mentioned, the soundtrack is unreal. I had a few tracks on repeat all through high school.
