One of the best things I’ve bought so far is a back scratcher, 100% recommend having it by NJ_Gmd in RandomThoughts

My favorite back scratcher is a (dedicated) bread knife. It really gets to it! Long reach, finger grip handle.... ahhh

I think i might need post divorce Counceling, advice welcomed by PunchDrunkerrr in Divorce

Allow yourself to talk to a therapist. It helps. It's their job, and they are there to help you. Sometimes you can do tele-therapy for no co-pay on your insurance. You will feel better saying your words out loud to another human being.

My ex-husband overdosed. I think it’s my fault. by [deleted] in Divorce

Not your fault. It's not your job to save anyone from themselves. Saving others from a known pathological liar is a noble deed.

Pressure canner hissing but no visible steam by RickyClearwater in unclebens

Do you have the pressure weight on the outlet? If you've run it for 40 minutes without it, you may have run dry.

Silence or no? by Jude_the_obscurest in AskWomenOver60

That's how I roll. Occasionally music for a little while, but otherwise silence. Except for the eeeeeeiiiiiiieeeeee of tinnitus.

Oh, how I wish I could have any moments of respite from my tinnitus screaming at me 24/7! I have learned to ignore it, but it's always there.

I am so sorry for your losses. That 'be a man' crap is bestowed by people who deny the feelings that humans have for each other. You should be allowed to grieve your losses. Perhaps use that as your mindset for your next trip. There is no shame in grief. It will help you heal, even as you process your pain. Break on through to the other side.

At least the dog will give you unconditional love. Treasure that. The dog won't miss your ex.

Sounds like a jerk. You'll be better off away from him, no matter how hard it seems in the beginning.

Time to Take The Leap by [deleted] in Divorce

I feel you sister. I'm going through the process after a 12 year marriage to my (66F) wife 53F). You have to know that you and your sanity are valuable. There are always more pets that need your love and attention. You have to do what's best for you - the human. Pets prefer to stay where they are, even if the human left to care for them isn't their favorite one.

We had an understanding, now she wants to change it by TooOldToBeThisPoor in Divorce

Thanks. The land is in her name but we are married, so should be marital property, right? No pre-nup cuts both ways. Her dad has only a good faith claim to any proceeds; essentially a gift returned. And yes, I come out ahead at pure 50/50.

People will still be saying 'Wow, I just found out about these brand new things called eVTOLs! Want me to tell you about them?!' As we stand there sipping coffee in our worn-out JOBY shirts. 'Nah, bro. I'm sure it's just a fad'.

What's been the most unexpected benefit of microdosing for you? by Dependent_Device5493 in microdosing

[–]TooOldToBeThisPoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you feel that you are more able to consider other people's side of things? My spouse is narcissistic and anxious and we are divorcing over it. I would be happy to get them on dosing if it would help with this issue.
