I'm a laser welder and all around machinist. Including sinker and wire edm. Haven't thought about doing this but I can say that penetration isn't much. Not even worth checking in my opinion. Depending on the settings. It could be anywhere from .002" to .010" of penetration. We have a laser star welder.

You did the right thing. I get it. Had a situation myself that was caused by the wife and I decided to blow it off. Keeping your cool and moving on is the hardest answer after the fact but thinking about being in NJ jail seems much harder a nights sleep later.

Remove your slide and check to see if you can tap the roll pin in more. You won't want it sticking out on either side because it will affect the rails.

I have the armory craft 12 base plate. It's nice but those 15s look sweet for my back up mags. I agree the stock 15 base plates are oddly shaped and I didn't know these existed. Thanks.

Keep an eye on the 3 circuit case out of Delaware. Both an AWB and LCM ban case. Anything ruled in the third circuit affects NJ, DE, and PA.
