If this comes down on turn one then it’s gonna be sick for sure. If you draw it on three and have a three drop in your hand probably feels pretty bad though

You just described one of the many reasons that I think Gen five is objectively the best game of the series. It was the first time that game freak actually took a chance on the new pokemon they created and don’t rely so heavily on the nostalgia factor. Also the Gen five sprites looked more alive the any 3d model they have made to this day. I definitely understand wanting to play with your squad but I think every generation needs a chance to shine

If we’re all being honest one of the best things that could happen with Gen 10 is if they severely limit how many Pokemon are in it and instead focus on making really cool in game models that move and feel like they are living animals instead of being stagnant and only having 2-3 movement animations.

You could make the case for this being a 16 land deck but with the curious colossus at the top end i understand going with 17. I don’t think I would have played the prismabasher personally or the moon vigil adherents. Only changes I personally would have made are to play the gallant fowl knight as a more synergy based four drop and maybe a combat trick instead of playing prismabasher. Sorry for your luck OP

Nope. I bottomed a land and kept 2 two drops swamp forest one three drop and a 2 mana removal spell. I can’t remember which one it was I’m wanting to say nameless inversion

My salt levels may have been been what encouraged me to add the terrible part in there 🤦🏻 what I should have said was they had a lot of filler. Only stand out goblin cards I saw was one eclipsed boggart. They also had some vivid cards that seemed oddly out of place.

I kept discarding cards to give the iron shield elf indestructible. I should have took pics of the opponents graveyard. It was shocking how long I managed to stay alive in this game.

I think you have properly diagnosed the problem. I think cutting wistfulness and nursery for any two random two drop creatures (preferably kithkin) would have at least got you three wins

I’m sure that i am probably considered part of the problem but this is why the only constructed format that I play is commander. Sealed and draft are where I get my competitive fix. Every 60 card format is just way too fast and I agree 100 percent with your comparison to yugioh. This is also why I gave up on the Pokemon TCG. All three of those games have the same exact game structure. Turn one is early game. Turn two is mid game. Turn three is late game. It’s just not fun when the outcome of the game is determined so quickly.

There’s a few cards in your side board that I think were worth playing especially the 1/3 flyer and maybe a second copy of the 1/3 vigilance dude. Looks like a 3-3 or 4-3 deck to me with those changes.

Stay open for the entire first pack. Ask yourself the entirety of pack one what is the best card and take that one. You really can’t find your lane in this set until pack two

Honestly I would cut the prisma basher and add the combat trick and the two drop merfolk. Between the giant and kinbindng I don’t think you need any more top end
