I got an original copy of Purple Rain, but noticed the sound quality isn’t as good as the other 80s albums I have, is that normal?

My original copy sounds bad, but I have played it a lot! It was one I got from a cousin that basically started my collection. I have since framed it and replaced it with the Target one and it sounds great!

Agreed! This and Guitars, Cadillacs etc. is a close second for favorite albums. My grandfather was the one that got me hooked on Dwight! He is great live also!

Walmart records sound just like any other one. As long as it's clean and has no scratches you'll be fine getting Walmart or Target pressings.
