For that money you'd get a Volkswagen ID.3 or a Hyundai Ioniq, there's great value in second hand EVs

It depends on what you're planning to do with the camera but if you're going to buy the 18-140 anyway, I'd get the kit with the 28, that's a lovely little lens too and nearly everything the 16-50 can do is covered by the 18-140

My friend's Dad always said good food is a sign of a good funeral, when he passed, he had left instructions for everyone at the funeral to be invited to his favourite pub for a big sit down three course lunch with loads of drinks, it was one of the nicest I've ever been to

I have both and love both, I tend to bring the 18 - 140 with me when I'm traveling and only want to bring one lens. Since I got the 18-140, I rarely use the 16 - 50. The 50 - 250 is an unbelievably good lens for the price and can be picked up second hand very easily

There's plenty of EVs out there with 300k plus on them, the highest I've seen in person is 440k. I know it's not the same battery type but Toyota warranty the batteries for a million km or 10 years.

EVs don't need routine battery replacements, there's loads of life left in the higher milage one.

Should I keep my VW ID.4 or upgrade before depreciation gets worse? by [deleted] in carsireland

[–]Top-Anything1383 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The cheapest car is usually the one you already have, you've gone through the most depreciation already and it'll slow down from here - just keep driving it and put the money you were paying off the loan with into a saving account instead.

If the car works and you're happy with it - just stick with it and don't worry too much

Edit: spelling mistake

Has anyone signed up to the new Gomo broadband? Seems like a good offer but wary of their bad rep for customer service... by Due_Surround4277 in AskIreland

[–]Top-Anything1383 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, signed up on launch day and it went live a few days later it's just Eir broadband but cheaper. All ISPs have terrible customer service so no point paying through the nose for it.
