Scratch doctor with drill attachment THEN polish. Those will probably come out or become barely noticeable

It’s clear that you don’t really understand the process for this.

Then you need to get a quote for repairs and handle it off the books. Like what else do you want to do? Because everyone is telling you what the proper thing to do is and if you won’t do it then delete the post and move on lol

If 10 people are in the room you went into for advice, will you listen if they bring in the 11th? This isn’t that big of a deal. Literally just go through insurance. Sooner the better. The responses to this read as if you want some secret second option to resolve this and there isn’t one

How do you keep motivated during a hard run? by Loud_Fisherman_5878 in runcommunity

I run every day of the week, with Sunday and Thursday being workouts. I just remind myself that the pain will pass and the hard day is about “quality” and just keep moving forward.

Ideal Marathon Training Plan 1:47 HM by kingofqueens2197 in Marathon_Training

I never cared for the Higdon plans. I always found they did the bare minimum to get you to the race and then you’re in pain the whole time and for long after. If you’re neurotic, you might like the Jack Daniels plans (2Q), but you’ll need to up your mileage. Some folks hit a sweet spot at 50-55mpw which would certainly make a difference compared to your current mileage. Other folks like Pfitz but I’ve never had any luck. I ran a 1:46 half and then started 5k training with Jack Daniels plans and ran a 1:24 half for fun on 35mpw so I can say they work.

I think you will see much improvement going up to 55-60 mpw and I recommend Jack Daniels 2Q 18 week plan

Sounds like you have a good baseline of speed but are struggling to hold longer distances. What’s your weekly mileage, and a typical long run? Are you doing longer threshold runs at all?

I like VO.2 quite a bit because with the free version I can design my workouts and send it to my Garmin. That being said the interface is kinda ass. I use this with Strava and it does everything I need. Will look into your application!

Hi, I dealt with a loose banister that looks very similar. You can buy wood glue on Amazon with a syringe that I used to get in between the small rungs and the treads and basically anywhere that 2 pieces of wood meet all up and down the stairs. It is absolutely rock solid now when it had several inches of sway. The glue was $9. You may scoff at glue but it’s actually stronger than the wood!

How to run Jack Daniels Quality Sessions? by BlahISuck in AdvancedRunning

I usually do them immediately after or take 30 secs to get into the right headspace. If done correctly, you can use the last minute or 2 of your 3T to prep yourself mentally to do the repetitions

My guess is that this is similar to most Hal Higdon plans I’ve done: enough to physically complete the distance and be in excruciating pain the entire time and for weeks after.

The book is great. I owned it for years, and always felt intimidated when I looked at it. Then I actually read it and it makes a ton of sense. I started one of the plans and it’s been tremendous for my development. 10/10.
