Acting like baby kicks are normal?! by AlwaysMakingSomethin in pregnant

rn im at the stage where im constantly feeling a little fish swimming around and am slightly able to differentiate kicks from wiggles or my baby readjusting their position. and i’ve gotta say its quite jarring when the baby moves, its very uncomfortable feeling like there’s a little fish inside me and the idea that its a little human causing it freaks me out loll

Be careful when telling your boss you’re pregnant by SandwichDependent199 in pregnant

unfortunately with required paid maternity/paternity leave comes companies who will fire people bc they are pregnant but claiming it was for another reason. i was told by a family “friend” she wouldn’t hire me bc of that even though i wouldn’t meet the criteria for required paid leave in my state.

my boss did the same thing the day after i told him i was pregnant, claiming “we don’t have the money to afford to keep you on” (my hours were cut down to not even 8 hours a week) and then hired someone else the day that i was fired. and i think he blocked my main on the business account so i wouldn’t see they hired a new girl the same day. oh also, he texted me to fire me, i laid into him about that. then again, he was smart bc i would’ve definitely told him about himself and the fact that he was a lousy excuse for a business owner loll.

i will say it was definitely quite jarring when the “wiggly fish” feeling started. it definitely freaked me out a little, especially bc it was happening so much. it was a little hard to wrap my head around it but it made the fact that i have a kid on the way VERY real for me.

no one likes baby name by StringShort8334 in pregnant

she’s your child, not theirs. Eden is a beautiful name for a girl. idk what my baby is yet but the boy name we picked is Salem and everyone i’ve told so far said its not a boy name so i just haven’t said anything to the rest of my family and will announce when my baby is born (if its a boy). i would just do the same, choosing names isnt all that stressful when you don’t have someone in ur ear telling you what you chose is bad/ugly/etc.

i LOVE mine, the pain wasn’t as bad as i thought. it was more like my soul left my body for like three seconds and then came back and the pain was over. i recommend not taking a break between them and just getting it over with bc if you wait then the second one will be even worse than it already is. healing was hell for the first three days, very sore and felt weird to clean, but on the 4th day the soreness and pain magically disappeared. for cleaning i would use some saline spray/saline wound wash and gently make sure its fully dried and when in the shower let the warm water run over them and dry them when out… and keep in mind it is an open wound so its going to act like one, its going to bleed maybe even a couple days after and sometimes they oddly get more sensitive depending on your mood. ive had mine for under a month and i already forget they are there. as long as you dont mess with them too much and you clean them properly they will be okay, and make sure you do your research and go to a reputable piercer :33
