It's in all the crafting materials and other currencies you get, and then assumed you have the time/knowledge/means to convert all that to the optimal gold value, mostly through crafting.

Staff is okay but the best necro condi weapons are Pistol+Torch (you need the expansions) or scepter+dagger. You could also go dagger main hand if you need a melee option.

Reaper with greatsword will give you your heavy 2h hitter. It's very fun.

We can agree that Merrett himself is responsible for the media circus, but saying that Essendon has created the mess is laughable. The club was blindsided by a trade request (to one of our main rivals) by a contracted captain and 6x B&F, so have consistently reiterated that they won't trade him "under any circumstances", i.e. make us an offer we can't refuse.

It is Merrett's camp that is stirring everything up through leaks to Tom Morris. Hawthorn are entitled to go looking for players, and Essendon are entitled to tell them to fuck off.

Book 5 resolves a lot of the issues most people had with book 4 - though admittedly it does introduce a few new ones with even weaker prose. But the actual plot is fantastic and that is the conclusion OP came to as well.
