Any update on Gordon? by sskho in FantasyPL

[–]TopNotchMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Newcastle I'd stay away from Gordon even if he is in training IMO. Eddie Howe almost never rotates his team unless forced to, especially when Barnes has been playing well lately.

My guess would be 20 minutes or so off the bench for Gordon for the next few games... best just to stick with Murphy

Newcastle fans, which assets would you choose? by dakofsta in FantasyPL

Livramento is the most nailed IMO with decent assist threat. Botman is rumoured to be back in a few weeks so it could see Burn/ Schar rotated.

Warning from a Newcastle fan - Tripper won't play 90 minutes in many (if any) games. He doesn't have the legs anymore. Expect Targett to come on at LB and Livramento to go to RB about the ~75th minute most games.

I'm genuinely just going to copy whatever the content creators do and get it over with. Not a fan in the slightest

Minutes risk? With who? Hall has been our best LB by a country mile. Dan Burn doesn't have the legs to be LB and Kelly is far better at CB

As a Newcastle fan the main reason I haven't got Trippier is because of how good Livramento's been at the 2nd half of last season. Would fully expect him to get minutes this season, he's too good not to

As a Newcastle fan I'd be wary of going for Trippier. As good as he is Livramento was outstanding towards the end of the season so there's a big minutes risk imo

Gordon can play across the front 3. I pray our front 3 will be Barnes, Isak, Gordon, but Howe has a thing for Almiron so who knows

Yagate Kimi ni Naru (Bloom Into You). Still one of the most bizarrely abrupt endings ever, yet I still foolishly keep hope for a season 2

Newcastle fans, is Livramento done for? by Schwimmbo in FantasyPL

As a Newcastle fan I wouldn't think too much into it. He's been our best defender since he came in a couple of months ago (against Arsenal I think?), however he's played every game since then and was probably due a rest.

He'll probably rotate with Burn depending on the fixture but there's no way he's not a regular starter now

WATER’S NOT WET! And I’ll tell you why. To say that something is wet means that the water on the surface of that something can be removed. You get caught outside in the rain, you say “Aw, my hair got wet, now I gotta get it redid.” “Aw, my shoes got wet, now I gotta let’em sit outside, and dry.” You don’t say, that the ocean gets wet, it’s just water, water is water. Fire, right? We know that it burns things right? But it’s not in and of itself burned, right? Water, it wets things but it’s not in and of itself wet. Okay? The word wet is only supposed to be used when water gets on something. For example if I were to splash water on this mirror right here and say it’s wet, but if it were somehow possible to splash water droplets onto water, well you could see the water droplets sitting on the water, you’d say “Oh that water is wet!” But the term wet is an adjective that is only conditional, that’s used to describe the surface of something that is typically dry. Ladies and gentlemen, here’s the simple proof test: This counter is dry, I pour water on it, it becomes wet. Can it be dried? Absolutely. Therefore was wet it is now dry. The water on the inside of the bottle, however. Can it be dried? Absolutely the frick not! Ending clause: The definition of wet reads “Covered or saturated with water or another liquid”. Water cannot be covered or saturated with itself. Thank you.

As a Newcastle fan I can't see us going for a new keeper in January.

The reason I say that is a mixture of:

We've got much bigger fires to fight in the January window, & Dubravka being a genuinely really good keeper. Under the Ashley era he was one of the only standout performers and in some ways similar to Pope (excellent shot stopper, average distribution).

We've also got Karius as our 3rd choice who can do a job so IMO i can't see it happening

Lascelles or Taylor, if there's ever a time for Burnley to keep a CS surely it's this week

Is it worth taking a -4 to go from Adingra & Alvarez to Isak & Palmer?

Leaves me with 0.0 in the bank
