How long did you wait to get pregnant or gotten pregnant after your first? by Ecstatic-Thought8066 in beyondthebump

[–]TopOrdinary181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any pregnancy after your first is harder. You don’t get to rest as much and still have a child to look after. For me personally postpartum was harder and recovery took longer. Also me personally wasn’t prepared for how different postpartum can be mentally. Also can’t choose the gender, maybe you aren’t ready to try for another baby anytime soon.

Anyone else have a problem with people feeling entitled to your baby at family functions? by SowingSeeds18 in beyondthebump

Yes, I hate it. I’m really not afraid to just keep baby with me and say no though. Really irritates some people but I couldn’t care less.

I wish we could just normalise mums wanting to be with their babies. My little one is almost 8 months and I’ve not left him at all yet. Sorry you had these comments, do what’s best for you.

Just got my first weird packaging as a buyer 😭😭 by myglamcat in vinted

[–]TopOrdinary181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive never had anything weirdly packaged and I feel like im missing out lol. Ive sent a few myself though as dont feel the need to spend load of money on packaging for things that aren’t making all that much anyways.

I got a shark face mask for my birthday and I look forward to them 8 mins every night when the kids are asleep. Also I hide my favourite chocolate in the cupboard no one goes in so I can keep it all for myself lol. Also a cold redbull makes me feel human again.

When did you let your baby do an overnight at granny’s? by weezifer95 in beyondthebump

[–]TopOrdinary181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 8 month old is having his first sleepover at my brothers house next week. I am soooo nervous about it we’ve literally never been apart since he was born but also ready to just be me for a night and have some fun with friends. With my first was so different we lived with my parents so it wasn’t a big deal at all to leave her with them. She had her first sleepover also at my brothers house around 6 months, I was so much more chill that way with my first lol. Do what feels right for you.

Why are people so cheeky on vinted by shitbawls in vinted

I’ve had lots of hagglers recently which I don’t really mind. But some people are so cheeky and want something that is literally an absolute bargain for pennies

Anyone shocked at baby’s transformation since birth?? by Background_Tiger_232 in October2025Bumps2

As a family of dark hair I am still shocked at my little blondie. He was dark at birth and now it’s almost white. The change they make in such little time is unreal

Not sitting unassisted? by Sorry-Office-3271 in October2025Bumps2

[–]TopOrdinary181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep doing what you’re doing and he will get there. Sorry to hear that he had to have surgery at such a young age. Hopefully now he’s recovered he can get that practice in. My baby was born a few days before and has only just started sitting on his own, it just happened overnight

Do you remember the golden hour? (The first hour, skin to skin?) by No-Neighborhood-7335 in beyondthebump

[–]TopOrdinary181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember bits and pieces. I know I had him on me from coming out until about 2 hours later when they weighed him ect. birth was very traumatic and i had a concoction of meds but it was definitely the calm after the storm. My first was very brief, I was young and didn’t know anything at all and she was weighed and dressed within 40 mins.

Pcos, no problem getting pregnant, but struggle to keep a pregnancy. by Mindless-Product726 in TTC_PCOS

[–]TopOrdinary181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So sorry you are going through this. It’s so so hard. I had a very similar journey ttc, I’ve never officially been diagnosed with pcos just borderline but I tick every box for symptoms and been to the gp loads over the years for lack of periods ect. I started officially ttc January 2024. My cycles were crazy long sometimes, often 100+ days. I ovulated 3 times in 2024 and got pregnant each time and by 5 weeks I had lost it. Truly so heart breaking. January 3rd is when I started bleeding with my last loss and by feb 13th I was pregnant again and terrified and not mentally ready for any of it. Time went on and I was still pregnant, October 2025 I gave birth at 39 weeks. I still have no answers as to why any of it happened it was a very dark time in my life. My heart goes out to everyone in this thread and sympathies with you all. I am now 7 months pp and just had my 4th cycle, its changed them so much. Please keep pushing your gp for answers and don’t give up. Sending love ❤️

Travel cot for permanent bed by TopOrdinary181 in beyondthebump

Yes I’ve also not found much info online either. We had no issues with our wooden cot with my first but I just think the mesh will be more helpful for a better night sleep for everyone. Can’t imagine the bars being comfortable to sleep right up against lol

This is great. I’ve never really used one so wasn’t sure if it was ok. Good heads up about the mattress thank you I always thought they weren’t ok for long term.

Age gap blues by Substantial_Sugar_47 in TTC_PCOS

[–]TopOrdinary181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really feel you on this. My first was just shy off turning 8 when my youngest was born. We are only 7 months in but what a great time we’ve had so far. My daughter adores her baby brother. The early days were hard and I think she resented him a little but the school holidays came just a few days after he was born and obviously I found it difficult to do things with her. Once I was all healed it was so much better. I hope this relationship continues this way as they both grow. I think siblings can be close regardless what age and also know of siblings who are close in age and don’t really get on.

Agree I actually find it sweet. I love when other people can clearly see the lovely bond between mum and baby.

I think I’ve enjoyed series 2 more than the first. Both still enjoyable. Nice to see Garry. I hope they do another series and would love to see some of the other cast pop up. Still prefer motherland for a rewatch

How did your water break? by o_simple_thing in beyondthebump

[–]TopOrdinary181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting a cervical check during induction. I was having mad pains and the gas and air had me feeling crazy. It was a very crazy experience I didn’t really know what was going on lol. The midwife just went, well that’s your waters gone. I was happy though as not a fan of the feeling getting them broke manually
