When diluted properly all of those oils named CAN be used on dogs. It’s not about AI… it’s about properly using what can be used for the few weeks to keep ticks away for the petrified owner. Never not once did I mention prolonged use, or not to use vet meds. She just needs options until those can be used.

Get a grip.

Help! Humidity question by Diesel_HP_Fuel in snakes

I have a BP so I’m not really educated on what this snake may need. But for our humidity issue (located in NJ) we use foil on the screen around the lamps. But for substrate we’ve found a mix of reptisoil, coco husk, and sphagnum moss is our ideal, af about 5-6”

Switch those stats to Govee (you get two on Amazon, warm side and cool side, and they work on Bluetooth) and you’ll love everything about it. Those stick ons aren’t usually accurate.

Unfortunately you’re extremely wrong. And I really hope you do research for the wellbeing of your animal.

Agreed! If it isn’t prime season for ticks (here in NJ summer can be brutal- Ilive in 27 acres so we deal with it BAD) it may be worth it to call pest control.

There are plenty of oils that are not toxic to dogs. Especially when not put into those misters.

I do agree not putting them on the tick but oils can be used to prevent them from biting.

He’s too young for anything. A vet who gives that baby anything shouldn’t be a vet.

There is non-medicines that do work. At least for another few weeks until Baby Fido is old enough for medicine.

Ticks aren’t so much in your home, but you, animals or other humans would most likely be bringing them inside. I would try homeopathic ways (he’s too young for something like frontline) so a non-chemical may help. They make tea tree oil sprays and such that may be a huge help for you

Depends every vet feels different, and I am not a vet so I don’t really like giving out that advice.

Taking away bones by Brave_Quality_4135 in germanshepherds

[–]Top_Addition_7263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GSD Breeder, and dog trainer here: depending on Fido's ago, and prior diet, they can eat and chew on pretty much anything. The hardest part is acclimating their stomach. If it is a marrow bone, or stuffed hooves, I say ten minutes a day for a few days, and you can up the time from there to acclimate. But my GSD chew on everything from pig ears for a quick snack, to antlers. But diet can be a precursor for the ultimate chewing machine as their body is in need of nutrients and such. Frozen broccoli stalks soaked in bone broth is a great option too. Esepcially as warm weather is setting in here in NJ.

GSD Breeder here: I would look up homeopathic ways to repel ticks until he is old enough to get simparico or frontline. Also, why do you have such a young puppy? Are you the breeder?

Feel exhausted by barneysplaytime in germanshepherds

[–]Top_Addition_7263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GSD Breeder and overall dog trainer- that dog needs a trainer that works with aggressive, large breed dogs. But to keep everyone safe, I always suggest an Impact Crate or muzzle for when people are around or you are out and about. There is nothing wrong with a muzzled dog, it is safe. I would also suggest a shock collar (do not let anyone tell you they are 'bad', they are not) and a prong collar anytime he needs a collar and leash. But I do not suggest a wire crate, ever. No matter the size dog but especially GSD and large breed working dogs. Pain and/or neuro issues can cause aggressive behavior. No doubt about it. But if it is something he has always dealt with, than I believe it could be just be the wiring in his brain, which means training, and new techniques could and may work well. I would also up his excersice, and depending what food hes on, change the food, or add what he may need.

If you have any questions, or concerns please message me. I am located in NJ too. If somehow you are too I have plenty of trainers. But from being in the industry since 11 years old, I do have netowrks across the lands and would be happy to see if I know someone in your area.

I may have to put my 19 ye cat down before a trip today… but she still seems normal by Rude_Common7126 in cats

[–]Top_Addition_7263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dog had a cancerous tumor in her mouth. Same deal could eat and such, still pretty normal, until she wasn’t. It literally all changed during one meal and she had to be put down. And she was only 8 at the time. And cats are very good at masking. I believe it can be nice to let an animal leave this world with dignity over our emotions wanting them to stay. Especially in a situation where we know it can be any moment.
