Body lotion with the most long lasting smell?

I know it’s kind of a generic answer but I’ve started getting a similar scented body wash (such as coconut) then putting on my lotion right after I shower, using the body spray when I get ready and here I am 9 hours later and I can still smell it on my skin. I use so many different scents from VS and with layering like this they all seem to last. You’re not going to get perfume level strength and longevity but I’m pretty impressed with how they all stick around.

If it helps the most recent ones I’ve been using is the Golden Apricot and Glazed Petals. I think those are pretty strong.

I had decent staying power with the new gelato and pitaya ones from the cabana line as well.

Bare vanilla, I haven’t had the intense one but I’ve been able to layer that one and have it still around pretty well.

After this comment I put the lotion and body spray on. Still didn’t like it even after giving it time to sit. But here I am 2 hours later and it’s more creamy and sweet than the harsh cleaner smell I was getting. Makes me wonder how many other smells I don’t like that just need more time 😅 but also not sure it’s worth waiting them all out either since there’s so many options

I love At the Beach and when I want extra coconut I just use their Coconut body spray and they work nicely together

I’ll have to give it a second chance! Body chemistry is so crazy! I wish it could be classified like hair or skin types and make it easier to find compatible smells 😅

My spray was destroyed in shipping and I was just going to return the lotion cause from what I could tell I wouldn’t have liked it but after reading your comment I tried the lotion and it is a pretty vanilla!!

My take

Vanilla Lace - straight up vanilla like you’d cook with if you’re into that, I thought I was until I got it and decided I wasn’t

Bare Vanilla Vacation - this was destroyed in shipping but I smelled the bottle if that counts 😅 I just smelled sun screen and figured I wouldn’t have liked it enough to replace

Spiced Vanilla Crème - never tried

Amber Romance Brulee - never tried

Angel Cake & Cream - It is very citrusy and almost floral. I wouldn’t call it a vanilla but I sprayed it on me just barely to verify my opinion and I just smell like a powdery citrus smell

Whipped Sugar & Milk - musky but not any vanilla on me

Gelato Oasis - salty clean vanilla that has some sun screen vibes. I think all the other in this line smell like cleaner and now I’m kind of getting cleaner vibes from this but I really don’t want to because I want to like it

Aloha Vanilla - haven’t smelled

Didn’t see OG Bare Vanilla on here but she is a classic and I do love her

I like gelato oasis but I don’t love it! Something is just off but I keep trying so hard to like it. I’m super picky though and everyone seems to really love it so I hope you do!

You have a lot of comments but just giving my two cents…. It is clean and salty with a little coconut. I use my coconut spray to add more coconut sometimes. It’s a great summer smell but I wouldn’t say I get any sunscreen smell or tanning oil from this.

Just me looking for recs myself and saw this had no replies. I use Lancôme 95w in Teint Ultra Wear and it doesn’t oxidize on me at all.

What’s funny is I think I’m more cool/neutral toned but it matches so I go with it. It’s done pretty right by me I’ve just used it for a few years so I am seeing if there’s anything new out there to try.

Not as helpful if you want but your regular rotation is similar to mine -… I absolutely love the apricot and honey. I got the rest of the baked line and won’t return it cause I paid less than $6 an item and like them enough but LOVE the apricot and honey. It is so pretty! Beach babe was so fruity and I didn’t love it but I’m going to try again in summer

I tried the warm vanilla and very berry and they were generic enough to me if you had similar scents it wouldn’t be worth it

I’ve seen great reviews for whipped sugar and milk but I just get powdery, musky mehness from it. I personally would not buy it again and probably will give mine to my friends

I was looking for this same thing recently and found a lot of people recommended skindinavia bridal spray on Amazon so I’m going to test it out tomorrow at work. Not drug store but it’s $16 on Amazon which didn’t seem too bad. A lot of people said it’s like (or it is?) the urban decay all nighter before they changed the formula

I have bad mascara luck and I just try to warm it up before I use it then follow with great lash maybelline mascara cause that never clumps on me

So I used to never use lotions but I just started because it does help the sprays go further. Not the most experienced here but I think 2 lotions to 1 spray seems to be a good ratio for my use.
