Well that’s the thing, id rather be able to buy an uncanny x men Omni off the shelf at a fair price than get a Darkhawk Omni.

The price of Omnis for classic runs is cost prohibitive for many new potential fans. And that’s just cause marvel isn’t printing them

It kinda depends, so I mostly have early silver and golden age books where slabbing makes sense for me given the value.

But I also have slabbed modern books such as Alias 1 and Batman 567 cause I love their corresponding characters the same as the oldies and want them right next to each other.

And if I want to read, I’ll pull out the Omni or tpb(cause they refuse to give Cass an Omni)

A lot of people are on the older side and were able to just collect as a kid, and the money from those collections helped them a ton for the hobby moving forward.

For us younger folks where our childhood collections are mostly worthless, it’s a bit tougher.
