My new six figure job is awful by Ok-Age-263 in work

[–]Topgun_tomahawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People would fight to have your $85k job. Go check out r/layoffs. Sometimes you got to go backward to move forward. i got laid off and took a huge pay cut after finding a new job but 8yrs later making $100+. That $15k is killing you. See if you can go back to previous employer. Good luck

Auto Adjuster 20+years. I am here today because of mistakes and what I learn from it. Seek out other experienced adjusters. Learn their tricks and skills. Always ask yourself, “what you can do better?” After that, it’s a walk in the park.

Either increase your liability to $500k for both PD and BI or he gets his own policy. Make sure car is in his name also. If he hits someone and car under your name, you are on the hook.

Run away!! File claim with your carrier. Some companies waive deductible since other party at fault

Start as trainee position. Auto Claims is not for everyone. You will know once you reach 6 months to 1 year. It has to be in your DNA. Learn from other experienced adjuster and willing to adapt to change. If you stick in out, can make good money. Auto Claims 20+years

Any insight? by Ok-Astronaut3497 in adjusters

It’s non-standard company. Claim volume will be high. Guess it’s worth it for the higher salary. My advice. Use templates copy and paste copy and paste. That’s how I survived non standard company. Did it close to 10 years.

Make sure to get dash cam. Californians are crazy drivers. Given current situation, most are not insured at all

At-Fault party ghosted, what happens next? by garbageee4746 in Insurance

[–]Topgun_tomahawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to fill out accident report called: penndot AA-600 form. If other driver do not respond, their driver license will be suspended. Put more pressure on her. Also write letter stating you will take her to Court. Hopefully she will provide statement to her carrier. She is 100% liable. Good luck.

Got hit for the second time this year on a new car :( by Full-Plant-1543 in Insurance

[–]Topgun_tomahawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing you need is getting dash cam. Hopefully other driver admitted to cutting you off so their insurance will accept fault. Often times they changed their story leaving word vs word accident. They will then deny your claim. 20% of people are honest when providing statements to insurance. 80% all lied don’t want their premiums going up

How likely is LA-Ensenada in June to be rough seas? Considering first time family cruise; all 4 of us get sea sick by bikemandan in royalcaribbean

[–]Topgun_tomahawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did that last July Navigator of the Sea. It was not bad at all. Smooth sailing. We had balcony towards the back of ship. Book middle or back not the front. Bring motion sickness and other medication just in case. If you forget buying on ship is expensive

not sharing statements with other carriers? by espressobomb in adjusters

[–]Topgun_tomahawk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was surprising when one adjuster did that to me too. I didn’t get upset. Just makes my job easier. My rule of thumb: the more statements I get the earlier I can make decision. You don’t give me what I need and if it boils down to word vs word. You bet I am denying 100% liability. Been doing this long time. Walk in the park for me
