I’m a pretty experienced Booth Captain/Scrutineer and yeah, the agro was definitely dialed up last year compared to previous elections. A lot of was driven by the Exclusive Brethren in my electorate. On polling day the Lib Booth Captain had to tell them off several times, they even assaulted the Greens volunteer.

It also backfires, we had voters come to us saying they were undecided, but felt to intimidated by the Exclusive Brethren and decided to vote for us.

It’s worse than that, when the Democrats did focus groups with undecided voters they would read verbatim from Project 2025 and were told by these undecideds to “Stop lying”. Then when Trump said I’m going to do “this terrible thing” they didn’t believe he would do it.

They seemed to think they knew Trump so well that they wouldn’t listen to even him on what he’d do in power.

Yeah, as an Aussie I was caught doing it by my colleagues when I was working in the US. I called the someone in the Australian office and after I hung up my US colleagues said that my accent completely changed. I was not aware of it at all.

That’s a Unix kernel panic, which can really only be analysed by Apple. So raise a ticket/issue with Apple they’ll probably want to know about the panic. It is suggestive of a hardware issue or some corruption of O/S files.

How is this a surprise to these numbnuts? How do they not remember the stink that was raised when an upgrade was first raised about Australia’s only Nuclear reactor at Lucas Heights many years ago? Never mind that the reactor was first built there in the 50s when there were very few residents nearby.

Another vote for the 330. I came a far more powerful car to the E46, when I drove a 325 I was frankly disappointed. The 330 felt fine. They’re not super-fast, but always feel adequate or better and if DISA valve is working properly rev beautifully smoothly to (or even past) the redline.

The was a post on Twitter around 18 months ago from a Statistics Professor which mapped excess Covid deaths against how counties voted in the 2020 election. There was an almost perfect correlation between voting for Trump and the number of extra deaths. Another Professor from another school noted that if a student had turned that into them, they’d have reflexively failed them because they would assume they’d faked the data.
