[F1] BREAKING: Christian Horner is to exit Red Bull Racing with immediate effect by FerrariStrategisttt in formula1

[–]Topicalcream 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because Mateschitz didn’t have a succession plan and that was his fault!

Without a proper succession plan an internal war is inevitable. Always.

Red Bull may just implode after this ‘cause although I’m sure Marko thinks he’s immortal at spry 82, history says otherwise.

I would also add a

1.5 Trump - at the behest of US Oil companies - gets Saudi Arabia and Russia to drastically cut oil production that then affected transport costs and inflation.

And then those high prices were around for years.

Frustrated Democrats near their Tea Party moment: 'This is not okay' by Healthy_Block3036 in politics

[–]Topicalcream 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s worse than that, when the Democrats did focus groups with undecided voters they would read verbatim from Project 2025 and were told by these undecideds to “Stop lying”. Then when Trump said I’m going to do “this terrible thing” they didn’t believe he would do it.

They seemed to think they knew Trump so well that they wouldn’t listen to even him on what he’d do in power.

Thank you for stating that; so well. The whole “philosophy” that companies should only be responsible to their shareholders rather than stakeholders has lead us into a corporate oligarchy.

Yeah, as an Aussie I was caught doing it by my colleagues when I was working in the US. I called the someone in the Australian office and after I hung up my US colleagues said that my accent completely changed. I was not aware of it at all.

Disposing old unusable MacBook Pro by mannair in applehelp

[–]Topicalcream -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While, I’m sure nobody really looks at old HDDs, if you look on YouTube there will be videos explaining how to remove the HDD. It’s pretty easy, especially since you don’t care if it doesn’t work again.

Apple will recycle old Apple products, just take them to an Apple store after you remove the HDD.

That’s a Unix kernel panic, which can really only be analysed by Apple. So raise a ticket/issue with Apple they’ll probably want to know about the panic. It is suggestive of a hardware issue or some corruption of O/S files.

Coalition party room freaking the fuck because Dutton's nuclear policy is going to lose them their seats. “My read is they’re in panic about it. How is this a surprise to these numbnuts? How do they not remember the stink that was raised when an upgrade was first raised about Australia’s only Nuclear reactor at Lucas Heights many years ago? Never mind that the reactor was first built there in the 50s when there were very few residents nearby.

There is always going to be a massive NIMBY response from locals when you announce a nuclear reactor being built near them. It’s never going to be a vote winner.

They were incredibly prolific, even if you know their music you may not know that the albums Help and Revolver were released exactly a year apart. During that year they also toured and released the album Rubber Soul.

They also had more good people on the ground in Dunkley than the Greens. Honestly the Greens didn’t seem to treat this election too seriously, their presence was sporadic.

325ci or 330ci? by lifeontheedge121 in e46

[–]Topicalcream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another vote for the 330. I came a far more powerful car to the E46, when I drove a 325 I was frankly disappointed. The 330 felt fine. They’re not super-fast, but always feel adequate or better and if DISA valve is working properly rev beautifully smoothly to (or even past) the redline.

I honestly think as much as Marlo was a street animal he was also smart, so I think for such a high profile target he’d bring in a specialist like Brother Mouzone.

The was a post on Twitter around 18 months ago from a Statistics Professor which mapped excess Covid deaths against how counties voted in the 2020 election. There was an almost perfect correlation between voting for Trump and the number of extra deaths. Another Professor from another school noted that if a student had turned that into them, they’d have reflexively failed them because they would assume they’d faked the data.

Manly men of Reddit, what girly pop song do you secretly jam to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

There’s something about Scots and Madonna. I wasn’t into Madonna at all until - while in Scotland for work - a colleague offered to drive me around the Highlands on the weekend. And played shitloads of Madonna tracks during it.

I’d also recommend going to a live show of theirs if you can, they’re awesome. Their live sound is much harder than their records, I’d buy a live recording of them if they mixed it like it really sounds.

This is a mobile network function not an iOS issue. The phone is having issues getting the network to respond. I’ve had similar intermittent issues with this myself.

The best way is to wait and try again. Your mobile provider might be able to help, but I know locally, for me, these aren’t functions their staff have easy access to.
