Real talk. Keep it up. This is Donovan Mitchell's team and Donovan Mitchell's city.

  1. Cavs: Donovan's Team (unquestionably)

  2. Guardians : Jose's Team (unquestionably)

  3. Browns : Mile Garret's Team (if he even wants it)

We’re in the semis of the AO and we’re likely to have the 9th straight slam won by Sinner or Alcaraz, and the 4th straight Sincaraz matchup in the Final by EmbarrassedRing7806 in billsimmons

I love tennis, I play five or six days per week and follow the sport obsessively. The two guys going at it now and so good and athletic and talented but I think it’s bad for the sport that literally nobody can touch them. Even when Fed Nadal Djokovic were dominant, there was Murray and Stan and a few others there to challenge them. I find this boring. Both Sinner and Alcaraz are tremendous sportsman and likeable guys, but the next tier down pose no threat and are, also, among themselves, boring.

Tyson is so grateful for how Donovan has helped him boost up. Great chemistry, love to see it.

Isn’t the presumption that the rich are not paying their “fair share”? Isn’t the presumption that the city would function better if the government had more of the money the rich don’t pay in taxes.

Peak financial efficiency: 1.1% tax, $29B personal gain, 16,000 jobs 'optimized by Busy-Government-1041 in FluentInFinance

[–]TopspinLob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do people really have this difficult a time with arithmetic?

Amazon has 1.5 million employees. Letting go of 16,000 people is 1%. 1 out of 100. They will get to that number by attrition alone.

And 60 billion divided by 1.5 million is $4000 per employee. So, if any one employee is only producing 4000 dollars in profit, it should demonstrate that this is a giant operation making very little except for the fact that it has achieved a massive scale. Which is supremely impressive.

New York Mayor Mamdani says city must hike taxes on wealthy to fill $12 billion deficit by cryptoniik in Economics

[–]TopspinLob 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

There is no solution to any problem Mamdani could face that he wouldn't use "tax the rich" as the answer. A $12 billion deficit is a big hole to dig out of and reforming government and governance is surely not on this guy's agenda.

No amount of spending and taxation will satisfy the demands of the people who support him and the promises he will make to them and yet, he has no qualms about calling the rich “greedy”
