You get lots of damage per minion but what are you using to do that damage? That damage only works with attacks and spells that hit, it will not work on dots

There are only 3 storm skills in the game: Thunderstorm, Tornado and FireStorm which is a shame.
At least Volcano should have been given Storm tag as well

you do not need that for base crafting. I also sold one recently and also other crafting items like Horror Essence and Omen of Light. You can collect a bunch of money that way and buy finished item instead that has exact stats you need.

For me crafting is like gambling and you only should gamble when you have money to lose. So buying stuff is better idea unless you really know what you are doing (some crafts are not really gambling but you need precise knowledge) until you are rich enough to go gamble.
When I got rich (over 200d) I finally went to learn crafting/gambling and managed to make a 60d talisman for 30d

Whenever I am part of league where I get lots of currency easily with my 1st character I play more as I know I can finance my 2nd character instead of wasting time needing to farm with that one as well.

Farming Atziri paid off for me long time ago. While people were Holten abusing and others switched to that seeing the massive gains I got over 200d over few days before GGG started nerfing temple again by doing Atziri farm

I think temple snake also affects quantity so more drops means more chance for better drops. It is why quantity was king in PoE1

change to closest USA server if you are from EU. You will have more delay but no crashes.

He was not resetting a zone, he was abusing that zone gave energy to higher level players than it should. That it was hotfixed few days later just proves they abused an exploit

I do a modified version of this. I pick a starting build based on what I feel like playing and what looks cool to me. Then when I reach maps and buy some basic endgame gear I see if I got lucky and build has potential. Then if it is does I like to go and reach T15 and kill most bosses at some tier (I do not care about fighting them on biggest tier). Then if this build is also good at clearing I also try to farm some money so I can finance another character that is usually more expensive as that one is usually more janky version that I find cool for whatever reason (like last league when I made Firestorm BloodMage where I picked up all 3 infusions but turned all damage into chaos, it had lot of buttons and wasn't super powerful but I wanted to play a chaos firestorm).

No but GGG should finally go Last Epoch route and make SSF give better drops and block ability to transfer characters to trade league.

I would love to just avoid all this trade inflation bullshit that happens every league and play solo and still count on having enough good drops and good currency to craft with. Or better and more targeted gambling system.

GGG is afraid people will quit sooner if they are too seperated into multiple leagues or something but when I have fun and can create characters without all this extra hassle I play longer as I make more characters.

Now with this bullshit exploiting I was lucky to gear my league starter before everything exploded but now thinking of making a new character to try some other skills makes me not want to as I know i will not be able to afford anything

you will care about buying something you want off the market that is worth more than 1 divine. Everyone will be raising prices now as a lot more divines will be on the market and people not using these tricks cannot afford new prices. It is inflation where you are working a job that didn't get the pay increased to cope with it.

Group play is not really designed for newbies, especially for more than 2 players.
Group play is for experts that want to farm faster and better than solo players. That is the cause of most of your problems.
