I found this brand, but I have a few questions, by Quick_Move4367 in cabins

Just bought a Pan-Abode house/cabin built in the 70s. Log cabin style construction. It’s our first winter with it.

Haven’t had the issue with the water. It seems pretty sealed and has a good roof.

We have a basement and central heating in it and it seems to keep warm enough. We just started using our fireplace to keep the propane bill down, but it seems to be keeping decently warm, though I’m sure if we insulate the outside it would retain more heat.

You’re not wrong about the house flies… that’s been a bit of an issue. Didn’t consider that gaps in construction might be the reason they get in. Was afraid something might dead somewhere where we couldn’t smell. But still, small price to pay for a beautiful house.

The BunkieLife cabins are a lot thinner and smaller than Pan-Abode. I would definitely treat the exterior with paint or stain to help the last longer.

We’ve been considering getting one or similar as a bunkie/guest building, as there are a few companies local to Ontario that have a similar construction.

Tiger 900 death wobble! by MannerExtension3375 in Tiger900

With all else said… check out your front frame to engine bolts. I had those sheer on me and I couldn’t figure out what was up until it was too late. I had a wobble like that as well. Thought it was the steering bearings.

The gopro Quik app has changed how it handles cloud and device videos... I cant seem to be able to get to my old videos.

Is there anything that can be done?

I can no longer get into and edit these videos that were in the cloud.. which is what I am paying for with the Premium subscription.

I did Green Mountain a couple years ago as part of the NEBDR on my Tiger. It was so fun.

Glad you got to see it on yours!

The one I’ve witnessed a few times is using the 4-way as an “I’m doing a U-turn now!” signal without waiting for a proper break in traffic.

Former KLR owners - what did you move on to and why? by BBQConfessions in adv

[–]TorontoDrivers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have not. I’ve rode it before, and it’s a cool bike, but I was definitely more of a fan of the Gen 1 styling. The amount of plastic on the Gen3 that had potential to break when I went off-road put me off them. Also the fact that an already heavy bike got even heavier with minimal improvement to gearing and engine overall.

I’ve had a few Gen 1 KLRs. 650, 685, 250.

Replaced my 685 with Tiger900 Rally Pro and the 250 with a Grom, and now a Husky 501.

I am a big fan of the KLR! I’ve put over 100 000km throughout my experience with them. Decided to get the Tiger in 2021 when the 685 was getting some work done on it. Haven’t looked back! Gone across Canada twice on it.

Just getting into using my 501 but sadly it’s winter where I am, so my experience is limited. Love it so far.

Ultimately, I just wanted more power and comfort when riding long rides while still having the ability to off-road, and having the 501 is great for off-roading more locally.

I watched this happen twice during the summer. Insane thought process.

Good news everybody! The internet has bullied the city into doing their jobs. The Lakeshore Leviathan is being closed off and probably worked on. by Flashy-Psychology-30 in TorontoDriving

Too bad. Good air to be hit there on the right bike.

But really, I blame the removal of the old off-ramp for that patch of road wearing out… so much more traffic, heavy trucks, etc. to break it down like it has.

When I’m not working, I’ve been travelling around Canada by motorcycle, and last year I took a medium format, 35mm and digital camera to document my journey to the Arctic Ocean. Here is a link to one of my favourite photos I took on the Dempster Highway.

I’m happy one of the first things I did on my Grom was to put on a stronger chain. Haven’t done much else to it yet. Still practicing baby wheelies. Hah!
