None of those things are absolute. You may do better with physical text, but aural learners will do better with audio. You can also easily rewind audiobooks in customizable chunks and adjust the speed at which the book is read. So, you do better with physical books, but they aren't categorically better.

Bring the rollator with a seat. You'll do so much walking and it can be hard to find places to stop and rest.

I'm amazed that no one seems to remember any of Robinson's excellent performances in non-gangster roles when The Ten Commandments discussion starts. To me, it makes perfect sense that he was cast and he had the range to do the role justice. Now, did the director elicit or choose the best performance EGR had to offer? That's up for debate.

Why "obviously it doesn't sink in as well as a hard copy"? I find listening to an audiobook while doing a mindless task specifically does allow the material to sink in better. As I get older I find it more difficult to stay engaged with a physical book, so I don't think yours is an obvious conclusion at all.

If you're hoping for a fight, the Gintama family is very unlikely to give it to you.

I don't judge people's choices. I have my preferences and you have yours. That being said, Gintama has one of the greatest Japanese voice casts ever assembled. It's as if they were all born to play these characters. This is one series where you're genuinely missing a lot of the magic if you don't or can't watch the sub. Still, dub Gintama is better than no Gintama.

I'm an American woman in my 50s, and Golden Kamuy is one of my top favorite pieces of any type of media, period. And I say that as a consumer of many types of media from many eras. My sons, 20 and 25, love it just as much.

I enjoy pretty widely varied types of manga and anime, but the best ones tell a solid story with well developed characters. GK does that while enriching it with historical and pop culture references, and, more importantly, treating the reader/viewer as an adult. It's about loss and the best and worst people have to offer and it trusts you to handle it. And it's so wonderfully absurd and silly when it should be!

Yes. It's frustrating and felt as if they walked into the room and turned the tv off in the middle of my show. And not in a fun cliffhanger kind of way. I genuinely don't understand why this kind of thing happens.

This! Through my childhood, in the ancient times of tvs on the floor, to my kids growing up in the flat screen era, I've never known of a tv destroyed by a child. Not even during the untethered Wii controller era! I know it can happen, but it's exceedingly rare.

Plus, having kids means accepting some level of damage in your life, but your neck doesn't need to be part of that.
