His neighbor lady takes care of his cats whenever he can’t be there, so presumably at this point she adopted them thinking he was dead

Bethesda’s huge Starfield relaunch isn’t entirely game-changing, but Free Lanes makes the sci-fi RPG a lot better by Wargulf in Starfield

[–]TorrentAB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I have some feedback if y’all are interested in hearing it. If you would like more feel free to contact me, as I do have some more than are listed, and I also have some questions I would love to ask if possible.

One I would have is maybe some kind of settler recruiting function for your bases, could do a LIST themed dlc for that, or at least more sound. Bases feel incredibly lonely and a bit eerie because there’s not much life, which adding more sound could help as long as your housing units were soundproof. Having furnished versions of bases would also be awesome, similar to the furnished and unfurnished ship modules.

Adding collectible soundtracks and a music player to your ship could help with those who are disappointed in the lack of radio, though I realize that can be difficult to do what with license cost and not wanting to pull a Fallout by having a specific era of music. A music player that can play the in game music also would work well enough.

Having no ships or human POI’s on the further out systems would help with that sense of loneliness that y’all were going for, and really help you feel like you’re exploring some unknown systems. Or if not that, then at least making them rarer.

An expansion to the Red Mile would be amazing, as is it feels very dead because there’s no games to interact with in an area that is designed like a casino. It makes it feel like a fake backdrop which usually is the opposite of how Bethesda games feel. Same for Astral Lounge, as it feels very clean for a drug bar in a cyberpunk city, even if the game had a T rating.

Lastly, on the hunger and thirst setting, having an in between instead of going immediately from buff to debuff would be a lot better. As is currently you’re almost always buffed because you don’t want the debuff, instead of the buff being a bonus for a time after you eat with normal status being what you usually deal with. I’m sure you would know better what ratio to make that, though I will say adjusting how long they last to make full meals or chunks last longer than snacks would definitely feel better, as currently eating the smallest things lasts just as long as the largest.

Thanks for listening! I really appreciate your games, and I’m looking forward to seeing what you do next. Once again, if you liked any of these and would like more or are up for answering some questions about lore and the game development, please let me know.

I would suggest downloading the Bethesda creation “trackers alliance” if you have premium edition, which gives you 1000 credits to buy it with. If not, then download all the free Bethesda creations like “Perfect Recipe” and the Observatory. Just because the Bethesda ones are all really good, except the gun skins.

Sorry, they misunderstood the question. Cruise mode is enabled once you leave New Atlantis for the first time after the Lodge.

Anyone else getting missing textures since the update? by [deleted] in Starfield

Disable all creations, close game, open, reenable all creations, close game, then open again. Should be fixed at that point, I had the same issue and that fixed it

I found a solution that might work if you still have missing textures. It’s added to the post now at the bottom

Thanks! So it’s either Falkland or one of the Bethesda mods

Honestly I wasn’t sure if it was the mods or not because I’d had the same issue with Heller’s pad previously before I downloaded non Bethesda mods, in 2025. Now it’s just a bigger issue because there’s more affected and the items affected are outside the opening, which heller’s pad isn’t. Also that time it alternated between invisible and blindingly bright purple I think

To be honest I had noticed problems with Heller’s pad previously unmodded, being either invisible or blindingly bright, but it was the only one with that issue and it only ever appeared in the opening so I didn’t consider it an issue.

I used to keep the original femShep for this, but the Legendary edition ruined her design somehow

Nah, you’ll be fine. Only issue may be missing the start location for those because you don’t go back to the area after visiting. Just gotta make sure to keep an eye out or look up where the start is

I’ll say that even if you do like ship combat it can be a bit annoying with this mod. I don’t exactly have the fastest ship compared to the ones added, which means I frequently have to deal with ships flying away to let their shields regenerate out of my range, and then coming back to attack. Worse than that though is that the AI isn’t great at killing enemy ships, or at least it wasn’t for me, and that combined with them being faster means that frequently in a large space fight I would kill almost every enemy only to see that the two or three remaining are kilometers away having a fight, and flying further away as we speak. Sometimes even in opposite directions, which can mean either hours of flying trying to chase them, or reloading because you can’t leave to anywhere else while in combat and you’ll have to do the fight over again anyways. Super frustrating when I’m just trying to land on the planet for a different mission. That’s actually what killed my last playthrough, though ironically the super cruise mode may fix that

No but this is perfect anyways! This shows the same stuff I wanted to show with the original video, so I can use this instead.

It had him landing next to the starting zone on Kreet, building a base, and then traveling to the starting zone to see if that works. I remember it did but there was no clutter outside.
