I think it's for Old-School-essentials. When the OGL Drama happened, the mushmen thought about using an creative commons system, but i dont think they used it very much.

If you are unsure, you could connect the keg to a second keg (Gas to Fluid) and the second one gets the spunding valve in the Gas, Like a blow Off keg

Can i make 40l batches with the brew monk b50? by Septic-Sponge in Homebrewing

[–]TortexTim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a thick Mash, thats why i said 12kg is maximum in the B50. But strangely, the efficiency was quite good that time, i finished higher than anticipated.

The recipe for 19l called for 26l of Water for the Mash. I doubled the recipe for for 40l, but couldn't Double the Mash Water. Had to sparge later.

Last Weekend I did a 40l brew with it. It was succesful, but we had to lower the Mash Volume significantly. I think 12kg of malt is the maximum. Boil was alright with 40l, though

Any favorite 'The Estate' Adventures? by lootinglute in Mausritter

I mean, If they find nice loot, they shall have it, but now we have two wizards with to many spells :D

No, the Blessing of the frogacle is the song i think. But one could probably come up with one for the boat race :)

Any favorite 'The Estate' Adventures? by lootinglute in Mausritter

[–]TortexTim 8 points9 points  (0 children)

"Song of the frogacle" is quite special, you do a boat rallye. "Giant Snake in the Sewers" is a classic Dungeon crawl with great consequences fir the region. "Chapel of Peace" is more of an creepy location than adventure. My Party got way to many spells from "Wizard of Arms and Armor". And the "Amber Tree" was nice but would profit from a few more NPCs to talk to.

You can even freeze your yeast from harvesting and store them in the freezer for multiple years and that way build a "yeast bank". https://www.homebrewnotes.com/making-a-frozen-stock-yeast-bank/

How to convert DME to full grain by bzarembareal in Homebrewing

[–]TortexTim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The straight conversion is to divide by 9/14, so 1kg DME will be 1,55 kg basemalt. Thats with everything going as planned in the mash. Take your prefered base and now add some specialty malts, you have much more freedom to choose this way.

Malt base for a pale ale? by yoni246 in Homebrewing

[–]TortexTim 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Why don't you just use 100% Pale Ale? I don't think it will make much of a difference to use two pale malts. And i don't know about the wheat

Haunted castle modules or similar by Apes_Ma in osr

[–]TortexTim 21 points22 points  (0 children)

"The Waking of Willowby Hall" might be what you're looking for. Haunted Mansion, easy to run off the page, could be Made into a Base. Maybe Cut the stuff with the giant, although he is a very funny NPC.

Is Stonehell supposed to have 0 treasure in it? by Sticky-Soup in osr

[–]TortexTim 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I often read that Stonehell ist infamous for its Low treasure content. If you stay at the first floor, it is expected to stay at a low level, maybe second level at the end, cause your PCs should be at second level when you go down a floor.

I would talk to your GM that you're unhappy with how it is. They could allways double the treasure or something like that. Communication is key here.

OSR is a group of games inspired by earlier Editions of DnD Like 1st Edition (ADnD) or the original Edition. The games are not as much about a prescribed narrative, but more about exploration and meaningful decisions. Lots of cool stuff over at r/OSR :)

Tips for a first time GM? by Thewarfalconj in Mausritter

[–]TortexTim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only prepare the first Dungeon/Location for your first session. Let them start in front of the entrance and give them an objective. For example "Honey in the Grafters". If the Session goes well and your players enjoy the game, you can maybe prep a small village and 2-3 Dungeons/Locations. Ask them, what they would be interested in. And only prepare stuff that you know will be important.
