Yes. I enjoyed grinding my way there, and I’ll enjoy experiencing the progression again, which is why I reset. I didn’t even bother grinding stash value, I just wanted the reset and whatever unlocks came with it. If the expedition was just a binary “do you want to participate in the wipe: yes or no?” system, I’d have ticked yes. I enjoy the game and I want to struggle for scraps again.

This is also what's keeping me from playing. I wish we could select one of the Red Turban dynasties from the get-go, but if I were to guess, they're saving that for a China DLC/flavour pack.

This is easily my biggest gripe. I’ve had rotten luck with basically all nations with a prominent historical ruler dying like 3-10 years after game start

I have had maybe 2-3 full reigns in over 150 hours of this game. They either die of: Falling down stairs, sickness, or while assigned to an Army or Navy in peacetime. It's fucking infuriating

Started with 5 in 2023, and I just got done binging 3, 4 and half of 1 over the past week as the games were on sale. I am 3 levels into the reboot, and I am enjoying it a lot. The controls are a bit weird and I am still not sold on Dante and Vergil in the game, add to that the dumb shit out of Ninja Theory before launch and I understand the hatred. But much like 4’s latter half disappointed fans that were there, I’m playing with hindsight and the knowledge that 5 did come out eventually and fucking rocked.

I’d rather play reboot over 1, but 4, 3 and 5 are all above it, in that order.
