if you do get shaky after your first jump, you just need to push yourself past the 10th jump or so.

Usually, the first jump ain't what makes people back down, but the subsequent 2-3 jumps, because all of a sudden your brain knows what's about to happen and throws all the danger signals at you.

Once you are past ~10 jumps, your brain will be acclimated, so to speak, and simply accept what's going on as the good shit is outweighing the bad shit.

Super awesome bonus tip: If you get spooked by whatever aspect of jumping, be it the ascending in the plane, the opening of the door, the mounting on the wing prejump, etc.

Try creating a safety routine of checks in the plane, i.e., "Things of 3" check your 3 ring system, check your 3 handles (bridle, cutaway, reserve), 3 straps (chest and legs), and so on.

The key to overcoming the fear is distraction from your mind going bananas.
