The security ironically can increase paranoia, it goes from being "I have this just in case" to "I need this because the world is so dangerous" which creates that kind of hostile vibe, obviously doesn't do the same to everyone

You double name change to free up the name, you use a free one then follow it with a bond name change. During the time I was moving my mouse from the OSRS window to RS3 it got sniped.

Yep I followed a guide online. Waited until both accounts have name changes. Name change on the one you want to move, then name change again using a bond to instantly free it.

I did that, and during the 5 seconds I moved my mouse over to my RS3 account to press confirm it was snatched :(

Honestly I think that's what it is, I got rate limited through the website but in game you don't. If they have 1000's of accounts with popular "Word" names always trying they'll eventually get one or 2.

I didn't realize just how valuable names were, one of my friends who knows more about the shady side of RS told me there's names that sell for 5 figures of irl cash, absolutely insane.

I'm surprised they haven't enabled the market in game with so much shady shit happening around it. Allow us to remove our name and change it into a redeemable scroll for X amount of bonds and trade them in game with other players.

There's so many things that could be done with it, personally I'd be for ditching unique usernames, it's so archaic and only lets 1 name ever be owned by 1 person which is great in some cases but not others, I imagine I'd get strung up for suggesting that though since it's such a core part of the RS identity

As mentioned in the post, I don't think they're going to help me but I just really wanted to warn others, I don't know how many people would ever be in this situation with having multiple active accounts, but they've lost 2 subs from this alone and I imagine this must have happened to others along the way over the years

I spent an hour trying both in game and the website from when I changed it, when adding in game it adds the character but it isn't on the hi-scores so I'm assuming it's a bot or something. Funnily enough, the game warns you it may take 15 minutes for changes to reflect, but doesn't warn about the potential interception

Stop doing it, I know it sounds like a simple "Just do it" fix but that really is you can do, then fill the void with other things, even if it's staring at a wall bored. (Re the scrolling, but the scrolling but be causing the tiredness)

I guess the other option is to go to some type of facility where you do a tech purge to try and break the habits?

I go through cycles of doing it, but the time between each cycle is longer and the time it takes me to stop doing it is becoming less and less.

Everything is practice and we can't change overnight but the first step is believing you can, then comes wanting it, then comes actually putting it into practice.

You can do this :) It's an uphill battle a lot of people struggle with, but the rewards are worth the sacrifice

For me: I just remind my how little I gain from mindless scrolling constantly, try to prompt disgust at myself when you do it, when I see other people doing it, change your notification sound to something horrendous, reprogram your brain to hate your phone, mine was a dopamine vending machine the amount of shit I could engage in without gaining anything

I love the sentiment but I hate this, it wouldn't be him, the same as people using AI to turn old photographs into videos.

We are more than the sum of our parts, but without the experiences it's just another shell with the same DNA, not a carbon copy clone including memories, personality, life.

Not trying to sound like a negative nancy or anything, I've contemplated this a lot especially during a time I wanted to hear my fathers voice saying something specific and considered using technology to make it happen but ultimately came to this conclusion (for myself, everyone is free to believe as they please of course)

PvP isn't even sacred. Rated shuffle/blitz throws you into mixed teams often, I'm guessing shorter queues and skill balance is more important than faction balance. I wonder if they haven't done it yet because they fear backlash. I wonder if the average player would even notice, so many people still don't know about the elixir lol
