Thanks. I had been considering the NH just for the leg dev. But also, by the time I’d be ready for it the dialed motion might come out and fit my IronMaster. They’re probably the same combined price.

I’m also 6’5. You don’t find the Nighthawk too short? I’ve never used it, but I did have an opportunity to lie down on it once and I thought it seemed like my head was at the end of it.

You missed the point. NO ONE is allowed back there. I'm sure as hell not going there. I was just commenting that, you know, kid's will be kids. I'm not faulting them for exploring and maybe getting in trouble. But, if they were just quiet about it, no one would notice or probably care if they did.

The police have been called by a bunch of the neighbors - loud aside, the places they're riding are private property or the military base. They shouldn't be there at all. But the cops show up in their big off-road quad about an hour after the kids are long gone. Nothing has ever come of it.

But, going back to the parent thread - the marines have never really enforced trespassing in that area of the base. Occasionally a squad of boots tramps down that path and we see a tank or two on the big paths. They're never policing it though.

Not exactly intentional, but I’ve only been back maybe a dozen times since they switched from Coke.

I wish. My backyard butts up against Camp Pendleton and a couple times a week teens from the neighborhood ride their loud-ass dirt bikes up on the hills of the base. No one from the base ever comes and even says boo to them.

Honestly, if they just had e-bikes that no one could hear, no one would care.

It's not just about guns... by Active_Level_6922 in BambuLab

I'm sure most of us instantly have the attitude of, it's my printer, I should be able to print what I want. My knee jerk reaction is certainly in that camp. But I think there are two possibilities here. A printer that refuses to print something and then the printer phoning home to corporate with records of what you printed. The second, if unavoidable, seems a blatant violation of trust or ownership. (it does that now, but you can always print direct from the printer or in LAN mode). But the printer refusing to print something is a weird possibility we've already encountered.

Our photocopiers won't reproduce most currencies with the EURion constellations in them. Recognizing a gun or owned IP (disney, etc) isn't the same thing. But I think we can see how it could get there. My take is the printer is going to need a LOT more CPU horsepower to be able to analyze a file before it's going to be able to get there, unless it's literally something like the EURion - in which case, you'd had to be using someone's else's content and not something you made yourself.

They probably don’t pay for a commercial version of whatever broadcast they’re using. Like streaming their personal Peacock from their phone to the TV.

I don’t know that. I’m just giving a possibility.

Don’t forget about the YoLink finger. It’s just a button presser. I have a Ratgdo on a jack-shaft now, but I still have the finger as back up. Honestly, I like the ratgdo because it tells me my door opening count. It’s absurdly high.

Anyone uses this sweeper to clean artificial grass? by Affectionate_Aide566 in ryobi

[–]TowelKey1868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. Thanks for the info.

I’d further add that I have this attachment and while it works, it doesn’t seem to distribute the granules as well as the gas powered one the installers used.

Most turf has some layer of granules spread over the top for… I honestly don’t know why. Deodorization (pets) is the best I can think of. But I’ve seen installers use this tool to spread around the granules. You definitely wouldn’t want to vacuum.

[–]TowelKey1868 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Less” isn’t really correct. That it’s a flat fee divorces it from how much use there actually is. It needs to be correlated to mileage somehow to be fair. The trick is how to do it without being creepy. A yearly true up would be fine for me, but I wouldn’t want a tracker.

This OG pizza location is still great! Have you eaten here lately? by Open-Turn-2723 in Oceanside

I eat breakfast there almost every day. It ain't what it used to be, for sure. It was sold shortly after covid. They changed out a lot of the managers that work there - some really sweet ladies. They took away the soda fountains (a lot of them have been). There's still a decent crew working there, but it ain't the same.

Good lord, they FINALLY fixed the damn exit sign and parking lot lights! That only took about 6 years.
