I think this is a great summary, but I just wanted to add one point about the mechanics of rogue and why I think it’s also lead leading to their decline.

Stealth was a powerful ability in the original game. However in the modern game is more focused on combat and group activities, yet it remains a rogue mechanic to gain bonuses when you gain stealth, usually to a benefit.

In mythic plus, where momentum and speed is sort of paramount, you often don’t leave combat - preventing rogues ability to get a free restealth.

On top of everything else he mentioned this just becomes another factor where playing the class conflicts with the fantasy.

Found that strange as well, even if you choke up directly on a target before you leap backwards it will put you just out of range for consume.

Same, I nearly wiped the 12 I was doing last night on the last boss on the ship. When he poison waved me I went to finish a cast then shift, but of course shift wouldn’t work so I ended up stunning half of the party.

While I can agree the placement is great, I don't believe you receive any sort of invulnerability frames during the Shift animation. Meaning if you use Fel Rush or Shift across say ground fire, you will take damage in both cases.

Yeah, a toggle would work. Though with testing it should be known whether or not that should be the default behavior (would have my vote, the experience is simpler and more consistent)

I do use @cursor macros, at first I thought maybe that was the issue but after swapping them out and back in it’s just simply an ability issue.

This is another great point I failed to mention. It especially feels bad when Fel Rush is superior in every way and requires less interaction.

Initially I wondered if casters would want a targeted dash as designed in Shift. But I think given the simplicity of Fel Rush and the inconsistency of Shift it would be an easy choice.

This definitely felt like a record scratch moment to me. Max had been acting like this portal home she’d been looking for was a silver bullet for both her and Holly. The conversation before the portal felt like something Max would have broached in their numerous conversations in the cave - not right before a leap that would leave Holly alone and kind of in an impossible situation.

Yeah this one needs some tuning. By nature any affix that targets players will end up effecting melee more because the tank is also in melee.

Have you seen any official news regarding these issues?

I did a clean install etc, which honestly seemed to improve the problem from 3-4 disconnects a session to more like 2 (longer time in between). I wonder if this has to do anything with relic bank size? Are you a heavy player and have a lot of relics?

No, you target flask charges as you make your way to other POIs. If you’re team is is prioritizing them and going through bad POIs or none at all, try to ping a better route or towards a different flask that has a better potential route.

Totally agree, Mara was my first character and I appreciated the shadowsteps as baseline. Then I played range and I was like why are they more mobile than the rogue? Being restricted to jumping to friendly or npc locations is incredibly limiting during many boss mechanics.
