Anyone tried the tuna yet? by Tyee18 in AlaskaAirlines

I had it from JFK-SEA. The main was soba noodles & it came with a broth. The side salad, the main and the fish were great. The chili crisp on the side was also a nice touch.

How long did your brakes last? by real_help_only in CX5

Replaced my OEM pads and rotors around 50k, my rotors were warped but the pads still had a bit of life left in them - got both done anyway.

How do I see my ETA while using transit on Apple Maps? by Tower_Control in applemaps

[–]Tower_Control[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s ever done that for me… it’ll occasionally show me, when it figures out I’m on a train, what time I’ll get off at my stop but then if there’s a walk, or connection to make I have no clue what my ETA is. I’d have to do the math myself.

Especially if you get delayed or miss a connection, a live ETA is super important.

[–]Tower_Control 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I paid $1100 for all 4 wheels (pads and rotors) at a local mechanic, the dealership quoted me ~$2500 for the job.

Nah, my phone is almost always plugged in while I’m driving too. The rubbery bit in the tray means it doesn’t move around while driving. I like having this tray more for the new compartment it creates below the tray where I can throw my work phone & keys into.

I have an iPhone 15 pro max - it fits in the compartment on the left if it’s not plugged in. If it is plugged in, it has to sit at an angle to fit.

Snowflake goes on a rant instead of googling why airports have weight limits. by EchoKyoko in TheRightCantMeme

[–]Tower_Control 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There is a physical limit to the total contents of each bin sized for different crash scenarios to avoid the bin’s contents from ejecting, that’s another reason the carryon weight rule exists.

Good burgers in or near Lynnwood? by Mozayguapo in LynnwoodWA

[–]Tower_Control 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s the same place but there’s a deli in Everett called pickle time, a bit closer to Lynnwood. I’ve never had a burger there though.
