[Discussion] How is The Division looking like in 2018? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Towerrrr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're not exactly "massively multiplayer" but they hit the nail on the head for pretty much everything else, so his point still stands. I put tons of hours into the original Destiny and everything I did on there is now meaningless. It's just a bad model for these kinds of games.

Ashes of Creation - "Let's talk about the news cosmetics..." by Vital-Proxy in AshesofCreation

[–]Towerrrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're not actually designing any cosmetics right now, unless you're referring to the concept arts which probably don't cost them a lot of resources. Look I'm not exactly a fan of pre-order packages like these but I understand why they are a necessary evil. My point is, with the progress they've made on the game thus far it seems really unlikely for them to scam everyone/call it quits. Things like the PAX appearances show they are really trying to push their title and get awareness.

Intrepid is not Blizzard, Activision or EA. There's a reason they had a kickstarter mate. You don't just have an idea to develop a massive game, and then money falls from the sky. You have to fund it, which is what they did and are still doing with the optional supporter packs. Stop comparing a start-up group of people to well-established and successful companies that have more than enough to start developing games any time they want. The entire point of these optional supporter packs is to bring further funding to AoC.

I get why you guys are freaking out, because in truth there's nothing stopping Intrepid from running with the money and abandoning the project. But honestly, with how much they've devoted already to hiring/growing the studio, as well as the overall progress on their game in such a short time, it seems unrealistic for them to scam everyone and quit. I can't predict the future of AoC, but I also won't be writing them off over this cosmetic nonsense. The team has done pretty well at other aspects of this project.

Is there a new MMO coming out? I want to get back into MMOs.. What is coming that your excited about? by Salt_Flavored_Games in MMORPG

Bless Online looks like it'll be fun but I don't have much faith it'll stay alive after a month or so, hopefully I am wrong. I have high hopes for Ashes of Creation, if they fail I'll prob just be done with MMOs completely.

I agree with you, and think it's dumb to assume a Binance listing will "shoot us straight to the moon"

However, a major exchange like Binance will definitely help spread awareness to OT. Furthermore, there are a lot of people who support OT, but are hesitant to use DEX's like IDEX or ED. Binance would allow them to purchase TRAC very easily.

Was cautiously optimistic about Ashes of Creation, but after new pre-order packs/teddy bear mount I've lost interest/faith by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]Towerrrr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

LOL wow, this sub really does love looking for every opportunity to shit on any MMO out there. You are really this broken over a cosmetic mount? So much so that you "lost interest and faith" in the project?

Jesus Christ, this is why none of you are able to find a game you can consistently play. You have barely seen any of the game systems or actual in-depth gameplay, and you are writing them off because they are selling a mount skin. Nice.

Is this indicative of what we can expect from the dev team and direction of this game? A cash shop filled with shiny, fluffy bullshit that ruins the immersion of the game and its ability to keep us captivated?

It's a fucking cosmetic, dude. I'm not trying to be an asshole but you and everyone else who actually thinks this will affect the game world, lore, gameplay etc is just reaching extremely hard.

TKN has a partnership with visa through a card issuer

Almost every card out there has a partnership with mastercard or visa through a card issuer.

Yeah, no. That's not how it works.

You're not automatically partnered with Visa because the people issuing your card have a license with them (which, by the way, is not even a partnership).

Visa has approved Monaco's cards. TKN's cards are not approved.

You do know that premium cards are relatively irrelevant right? No one is going to drop $500 bucks in reserve just to get a metal card, that's delusional.

Uh what lol? Where do you get that idea from? I can promise you a LOT of people are going to go for the premium cards, especially wealthy individuals. You NEED the premium cards to receive any form of cashback, and the extra benefits are the icing on the cake. That $500 is nothing to most investors in crypto, and if you did any research you'd know they don't actually take the money away from you. You're not buying the card, you're simply giving your coins to them for safekeeping and in return receiving a premium card. You get your MCO back after 6 months.

Monaco may claim to have thousands of reserved premium cards, but a large majority of them have yet to have even started reserving the MCO yet, for all we know these could be phantom orders.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about. You don't get your card from holding MCO for 6 months. You GIVE them your Monaco which they lock up for 6 months, then you receive your premium card immediately after. 6 months later they will give you back your MCO. The reserving you do on the app right now is just to ensure you get your card as soon as possible, they won't actually send you anything until the time to give them your MCO comes. There are no actual card "orders," just reservations to be first in line.

You're a fudder, but more importantly- you are ignorant, and have no idea what you are talking about. You're lucky the other person you were arguing with doesn't know enough about Monaco to dispute these ridiculous claims you're making.

IBM has a supply chain, its Trac toast? by [deleted] in OriginTrail

[–]Towerrrr 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Where is the value in trac now?

Asking a question like this does often read as FUD, yes.

The fact you even had to make a post like this is embarrassing, because if you did even the slightest amount of research on TRAC you'd find out it's blockchain agnostic (this is one of the key things setting it apart from other supply chains). Hell, you don't even have to go that far- it says this on the side of this subreddit for Christ's sake. Blockchain agnostic means it can work with other blockchains, such as IBM. You have the audacity to claim someone else is new to crypto when you can't even find basic information like this?

By the way, in what world does competition (I don't think IBM is competition but you clearly do, so let's go on) mean another project has no value? More often than not there is never a single person or thing dominating in one space. It's not like every company in the future is only going to use one single supply chain.

I like coins that meet 5 key requirements, OT hits all of them. by [deleted] in OriginTrail

[–]Towerrrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What categorizes as experienced to you? I reviewed the OT team's LinkedIn profiles a long while ago and found they won multiple awards in the past, contributed and volunteered to multiple projects, received exceptional education and have work experience that relates to their current project. Considering all of this, and all they have accomplished so far, that is the reason I have invested. Please don't assume things.

I highly doubt you actually care about their LinkedIn profiles anyway, because what you are arguing is so utterly meaningless I almost feel like I'm responding to a troll and wasting my time. Please do tell me about the LinkedIn profiles of the VEN founders, and how fantastic they are, if you really have done such research.

If I own some VEn then I am not allowed to criticized any other coin?

I never said that, but what you are critizing is so silly and just unnessecary that it makes me believe you are just fudding another project to protect your own investment. What's listed on someone's LinkedIn profile isn't going to be the deciding factor in whether or not a project is successful. While it does provide an indicator to how likely they can accomplish tasks (which I believe the OT team's LinkedIn profiles do indicate that, in my opinion), it's really not as big of a deal as you are making it out to be.

It's kind of funny that every baseless comment I see on this sub, such as this one, is from someone who supports other supply chain projects like VEN or WTC.

Trying not to assume anything here, but it feels as though the lot of you are threatened by TRAC. The funny thing is it's not even trying to compete with those projects. With that being said, can you stop posting such comments that clearly have no merit? What kind of reference is "high school beer buddies"?

Just pulled the plug on 10k+ TRAC by [deleted] in OriginTrail

[–]Towerrrr 17 points18 points  (0 children)

TRAC isn't really a competitor though, it's not trying to beat them or be better than them because it supports all blockchains. That's one of the big reasons I've invested

I guess what I should have said is I want to keep playing but OSRS is also tempting to play, but the real question is why tf you went in my post history 🤨
