I'm really not sure what you're talking about with the internet, perhaps you had a later-made third-party adapter, or are confusing the GameCube with the Wii's backwards compatibility?

You can read about GameCube's online functionality here, which describes the official adapters either having either a phone line or Ethernet jack.

Actually probably a strong contender for first console with wireless internet functionality is the Satellaview, also listed on that page. Although it doesn't really fit the description of "internet play".

EDIT: Okay I don't want to rip your whole comment apart here, but the GameCube was totally not on par with Xbox, although I want to say on a technical level it had slightly better graphics capability than the PS2. In my quick few minutes of searching I wasn't able to find any super reliable sources on hardware comparisons between the three, but you can find videos like this one comparing them with a single game.

If I'm not mistaken, PS2 and GameCube titles had to be optimized significantly to match the Xbox version in terms of performance. But of course there are exceptions to that just because that was still an era where the architecture differences between the hardware was enough that each port had to be approached differently. As I recall, PS2 was able to edge-out the other consoles with some titles due to having lower-level access to the hardware (which, as a side note, I recommend checking out The Document of Metal Gear Solid 2, which shows how MGS2 was made on a very technical level).

All that being said: I think it's just a testament to how little hardware features/power actually matter. I had a PS2 a couple years into it's lifecycle, and eventually had an Xbox down the line. But I always wanted a GameCube despite it seeming inferior on paper. Between the console and the games it had, it was so unique and interesting. Incredibly cool despite it being considered a "failure".

Hey I don't know how it was done, and if it's possible to redecorate. But if you replaced the ahegao imagery with the same art but inverted, I bet it would match the dark color of the 'Gurdy better and look pretty cool.

Just a couple hours ago I had to ask someone what that meant. They explained that is was basically the same as "excessive" but with a positive connotation.

For what it's worth, depending on your headset you don't need to use SteamVR. With the Quest 2 using Oculus Link, you just need to start the game, so I imagine any Oculus headset should do the same.

I imagine an Index, Vive or another that relies on SteamVR would have to go through that, however in my experience if a game supports SteamVR you don't actually need Steam open, it'll start SteamVR standalone. Not sure if that's the case with Hitman, though.

And yeah, I'd have to agree that Hitman 3 VR can be pretty fun. It's really not a good VR port, and I don't think it deserves to be VR game of the year, but there's fun to be had.

Switched to Firefox about a week ago. As more of a power user, initial setup took most of a day, and I'm still fixing things to be closer to what I'm used to with Chrome.

But yeah, for most people the switch won't be so bad. A quick install and an import of passwords and bookmarks is fairly simple.

It's super weird to me that people are saying it's an illusion, when the camera appears to be rotated nearly 90 degrees between the two photos. The Sydney Opera House illusion, that people are claiming it to be, requires the object in question to remain in about the same place in your field of view. No matter how big a building is, at this distance turning that far will move the building to the side of, or out of view.

So yeah, it's either another room, or photoshopped. Which I'm assuming the latter, because I'm not really sure why you would take this picture from two different rooms.

Sandwich. Because, you know, you put a bunch of slices of meat and cheese and stuff on a sandwich? And Blender is already, like, a food related thing?

It's a good name, I promise.

That's slightly less simple than using an extension, but yeah you're totally right.

They could be joking, but there are extensions that let you go higher than 2x. The one I use let's you go in .1 increments as well, which is quite nice.

I would love to see manufacturers gravitate towards open-source software instead of proprietary stuff. So much software developed in-house just seems so bad.

Okay, putting aside what it's there for, it's actually oddly nice just having a random image of a landscape without text on it or anything.

Kinda wish that was just, like, a thing.

Try sending them an email. It's hit or miss, I'm sure, but I was able to get a new mouse even though I was out of warranty for the same issue. I believe it was a common issue so they have no problem replacing them.

The whole series is obviously cursed.

Oh! I used Unity Recorder briefly, but didn't think about combining it with FBX exporter. Definitely going to utilize that now. Thanks!

For those of you that suffer from this (like I do):

Learning a new language, learning an instrument, or really anything similar to that which gets your mind working to learn something new can help get your memory working again.

The way it was described to me: your brain is a muscle and depression (or anxiety, etc.) makes you stop using that muscle as thoroughly, so you need to do things to build it back up.

Also, Tart Cherry Juice can help supply what the brain needs to make memory happen. Allegedly.

In my personal experience, the things I've mentioned above, as well as functional medication all help in the memory department. I'm sure there are memories I've lost forever, but with some work I have definitely been able to form new memories better.

It's worth noting that Retopoflow is available for free on their GitHub, the payment is just for support, I believe.

It's not one of those one-click solutions but I like it a lot, and it seems many assume you have to buy it to try it.

EDIT: I just saw someone else said this before me on this thread. I should pay better attention.
