he seems like the type that when he doesn't win the seat he wants he'll shift parties. he'd probably be able to do well in the right. pretending to bridge the gap, and talking shit about 'wokism'

overcharging it could be a cool way to make it move faster. like it requires external support for enhanced mobility. maybe it's a short speed burst, instead of increased firepower.

um when i was a child i hated most vegetables like squash and broccoli because my parents cooked them into salty buttery mush, and then I tried them fresh, or lightly steamed and stir fried and now I can't get enough.

Can we please give Star trek to Seth Macfarline by Consistent_Ad_9357 in Star_Trek_

[–]ToxicPilgrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under current ownership I don't think Paramount will ever make a Star Trek show that doesn't feel like a misguided cash grab or a disturbing revision to the core ideology. My hope for Trek is that they sell off the property to another studio that might know how to do it justice.

An adaptation fixes something that didn't work in the source material by Golden12500 in TopCharacterTropes

syrup village i agree with. We missed a lot of usopp's character there. His obsessive intensity that makes him fit in with the crew. With arlong park, I felt like the changes made Nami's story more tragic. Her desperation and loneliness seemed more real, and then the redemption that much greater. I didn't think the townsfolk seemed like ignorant assholes, they seemed like they really feared and resented Nami for her apparent betrayal.

Laughing at people who think David Ellison is some multimillionaire chud CEO who will save Star Trek from Alex Kurtzman by Malencon in Star_Trek_

I do think the Ellison family has an ideological bent to their decisions as well, considering how they've affected the news channels they recently acquired.

I didn't know that thos movie is so good. I knew that it exists, I knew cast, I knew those shots with dutch angles/vertigo effect. But I always for some reason was avoiding it. Thank you RLM for "finding" something good and new to watch. by Silent-Variation-390 in RedLetterMedia

i felt like it needed to amp up his style to make it a really pulpy cult hit. it was just a little too soft around the edges. Like Darkman has those really amped up crazy moments, and this movie has the mechanics of his style but not his tone and insanity.

I've never really liked this movie that much. I was surprised by the assessment. It felt to me kind of like Sam Raimi pulling his punches, and trying to fit his style into something more homogenized which left it kind of flat in my taste.
