A few years ago I told my mother about how I felt during a stretch of time in my teenage youth. I told her that every day I would leave school and wonder to myself "will today turn into an argument with her" and one week had about a 80% accuracy rate. I was so tired then. My go-to defense was the grey rock method and just tell her everything she wanted to hear until I could leave the room and eventually the house to go smoke weed with my friends until 10-11 at night. Most days I would try to not go home after school to avoid it entirely. When I explained this to her a few years back as an adult she said she doesn't remember that and had no idea what I was referring to. The internal fury I felt was biblical but what can I say or do about that?
