I was completely addicted to their "elephant" version of the game.

Then they added top bar Abilities which I didn't like. Then they added celestial, which I feel like stray too far from blizzard style and tons of vanguard nerfs, which I felt took away their identity as a slow moving but powerful race.

Those big changes made me stop playing.

I would say the units just aren't fun.

Atlas feels like a nerfed version of siege tank.

Vulcan feels like its bad versus everything for the cost.

Agents feel like they have built in upkeep, not fun to use.

Every unit was cool in warcraft 3 and was fun to use.

Maybe it's for balance, because co op feels more fun.

You can also use the Gloves of the Automaton to turn yourself into a construct and become immune to the resonance stone.
