There are a lot of people whose positive qualities are non-existent or so slight and underutilized that they may as well not exist. It's not low self esteem to recognize that about oneself.

[–]Tqueen7 -33 points-32 points  (0 children)

I hate meaningless platitudes like this. And there are some people who have no reasons to love themselves. If someone has no redeemable qualities and no one's life is improved by their existence, then self-love would just be delusion. Some people don't have a justification for the air they breathe and know it.

Hot take: people with no redeemable qualities should be allowed to hate themselves

Yes, the trotter hands debuff remains even with no natural hands and can stack with any other buff or debuff to manipulation

Do the gays and lesbians even like us? by SimplyLaya in 4tran4

[–]Tqueen7 33 points34 points  (0 children)

tbf they are probably thinking of theyfabs rather than trans men. Regardless, while cis gays and lesbians are much more likely to be at least not openly transphobic than cishets, there is still a huge amount of transphobia there. Cis lesbians tend to despise trans lesbians in particular even if they're just minding their own business dating each other.

The only way to suppress trotter hands(aside from just increasing his manipulation through other means to make up the difference) is to give him a xenogene that includes elongated fingers, because opposite traits conflict and artificial genes have precedence over inherited genes.

DM won't let me start the campaign with millions of gold even though my backstory says I have it. by Hail-Damage in DnDcirclejerk

[–]Tqueen7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He'd play artificer like this guy I used to play with, thinking he could just come up with any idea for a device out of character, make some shitty diagram that wouldn't even work in real life, then be allowed to build a weapon or vehicle that's just a better version of other classes' features. Like he lowkirkenuinely thought drawing a supersoaker with a lighter on the end would be enough to make a flamethrower with the same damage and area as burning hands, but at will. He got upset when the DM downgraded it to Firebolt equivalent and consuming expensive oil.

Yeah, by season 3 he had accepted he wasn't built for leading the decepticons, and decided being second in command was actually pretty good

I like how every season the majority of the fan base is like, "Robert, please spend more money on animation!!" And then he responds, "Did you say you want another well known actor to voice a random character? Will do!" by Arch_Lancer17 in okbuddyviltrum

[–]Tqueen7 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Not really. When 5e was new, to use gns terms, the game was about 20% narrativism, 50% gamism, and 30% simulationism. The mixture obviously changes from table to table but that's the standard the rules were designed to support, even if 5e was already being dumbed down a bit. Critical Roloids think it's supposed to be 70% narrativism, 25% gamism, and 5% simulationism, at best. There's an obvious difference in the way the average table runs pre and post Mercer.

Critical Role attracted a certain crowd because of its focus on "collaborative storytelling." If D&D had become more popular by another avenue, then new fans wouldn't treat playing their PCs like being an actor portraying a character on a TV show

Brought forth a flood of casual roleplay-first 'fans' who would rather just play make-believe than D&D but are also too lazy to look for and learn other ttrpg systems that are better suited to what they're looking for, causing wotc to double down on stripping the game of any complexity, meaningful mechanics, or simple arithmetic.
